The number of illegal aliens in this country ranges anywhere from 10 million at the most conservative, to about 30 million at the most liberal estimates.

The number of Hispanic and Latino Americans in this country is in the number of 45.4 million.

The associated press poll has historically been fairly accurate and they have Obama at 44% and McCain at 43%. They are basically tied. So no I'd say I am not delusional. They are basically tied right now. You can find polls that are vary huge amounts easily and cherry pick the ones you like. It really doesn't mean any thing. This race is still anyone's to win. I understand it is hard to wrap your head around the fact that the Obama Messiah may lose but that's just the way it is.

You're both right and very wrong. Based on data from 2003, only about 40% of the US Hispanic population is eligible to vote (as compared to 73% of non-Hispanic voters). However, illegal immigration only accounts for a relatively small amount of of that 33% difference. While some adults are just simply not registered, the average age of Hispanic population is extremely young. As this younger generation has grown up, Hispanic voting has grown by leaps and bounds, sometimes by as much as 50% between election cycles. Meaning that even the data I just mentioned might be wildly out of date.'

There are estimates from studies that estimate well over 30 million. ANY number is underestimated. Illegal immigrants STRIVE to avoid detection. You'd understand the mentality if you lived here. It's basically a shadow world of unaccounted persons.

When you see someone here and they're just STRAIGHT paisa you can tell that they're illegal. No one would really take offense here if you asked "Do you have citizenship?" because a lot don't. It may be illegal but nearly every company you'll find here survives only because of it.

Given what has happened in LA in 1992, Detroit in the 60's, and in Cincinatti just a couple years ago, it wouldn't be all that unlikely. If Obama loses, and if there are accustation that the election was stolen it will almost certainly boil down to people believing it was stolen due to racism.

If sections of the population that have been prone to race riots in the past feel that an ELECTION FOR PRESIDENT is stolen due to racism, then it is likely there will be riots again.

I don't think there would be calls of a stolen election if he lost, nor would it be possible to be stolen due to racism, as whites are the majority. I mean, it's always a possibility, but speaking as far as probability it's way way way less likely.

I predict assassination attempts (whether successful or foiled by police) if Obama wins, or civil unrest if McCain wins.

Actually, as I mentioned there are very significant differences between 2003 and 2008, but the trend has been in the exact opposite direction, with a massive jump in legal Hispanic voters as a percentage of the Hispanic population. Again, this is due to the younger generation growing up and starting to attain voting age.

The problem is that while it's easy to confirm that this is in fact the trend, we seem to lack any exact data newer than 2003. I also happen to live in the illegal immigration center for the Northeast US, and this is precisely the trend you see here too. (I'm aware that many people don't realize just how much illegal immigration happens via the east coast, but it's a surprisingly big deal.)

Seriously though, I doubt it'll happen. in the days of the first U.S. Civil War, most rebels fought the union with whatever they had and then some. Save for Iron Side.

In todays modern U.S. military , there's the Air Force, NAVY, Special Forces with all it's related gizmos such as GPS tracking etc. Mostly out of the cost range or skills of the average citizen. The rebels would be outclassed and out gunned in nearly every concievable way. It would be a massacre.

It would have to be an approach similar to Deus Ex. Guerilla tactics, assassinations and such.
