on more reflection this actuially makes sense ..I mean WoW is nerdy in a elves, gnomes and dwarves sort of way..whereas porn is about manly pursuits like watching a beer commercial but with nudity

It depends who I'm talking to. I used to play World of Warcraft, and for example, I met this new girl, and let's say I still did play...I would admit I do a lot of weird and crazy things to her before I would to playing World of Warcraft. It would definitely be kept a secret, and it'll probably be kept quiet that I ever played for a long while.

Actually, if I think there's a chance the person I'm talking to hasn't played the game, then it probably wouldn't be discussed. But this isn't the first time I've been embarrassed to play a video game I suppose. "I play Counter-Strike" never felt appropriate in social situations. Oddly enough "I play Halo" and "did you play the most recent GTA?" does.
