if you were given the choice to make world peace would you?

what if it meant that the entire human race had to be wiped out including yourself? no more suffering, no more murder, no more evil. would you do it? if you did, you would be smarter than god.

because heres the thing, if god exists, he is not benevolent, but cruel. look at all the suffering, torture, evil that has happened in the last 10000 years. god could have prevented all that if he simply didn't create humans.

0 suffering. is 1 unit of pleasure worth it to counteract 1 unit of suffering? regardless, the amount of suffering that has gone on far outweighs the amount of pleasure. if god was omniscient he would know that in the beginning, so why would he go through with it? this proves that even if god does exist, he isn't someone you want to be friends with. I am smarter than god, because i would have chosen not to let all of you suffer, and let you have eternal sleep.

Its not just about fun, its about the right to choose. My friends hurt themselves by smoking everyday, but I won't kill them (or more realistically, forcefully stop them) because they have the right to choose.

I think humans are on earth for a purpose, and if we blow it up by accident, oh well. if its just animals with no higher brain function and no humans or at least intelligent beings to mess up the homeostasis, what is earth but a rock in space?

How selfcentered.....To die for everyone cause the world is not fit for you. Sorry but I actualy have peace within this world, and I am content here untile the Lord sees fit to take me home. In fact I really Love being tought and descipled by the Living God as I live and breath here on earth. Its not that I dont suffer, infact I have suffered more than some, but I CHOOSE to live a life that allows me not to escape the suffering but rather find peace within the suffering.

I would say that God continues to let earth go on, not for the purpose of suffering but so more people can be allowed to come to him, letting the world go on so his grace can continue to be givin. God wants all to be saved. And from what I understand there was this one person who died so you and I have the choice of ETERNAL peace.

If there were no evil to contrast the good and make you appreciate just how good life can be, what would be the point in living? If the world were perfect, and no one had a care in the uh... world, wouldn't it be pretty damn boring? I think we are here to learn, the knowledge we gain here we take with us wherever we go next. Here's the way I see it- the simplified version (feel free to comment). God created man and gave him the free will to do whatever he wants. God made a set of guidelines for us to live by if we want to. If we live by the guidelines (10 commandments perhaps?) God will be pleased and good things will happen to us, but we won't necessarily go to heaven. If we don't live by the guidelines bad things will happen to us, but we won't necessarily go to hell.

When God gave us free will, he gave us the choice to do whatever we want. This explains why some bad things (like war) happen. It is man who makes the decision to go to war. God hates war, but it is necessary because of man's free will. The statement, "if God were real how could he let these things happen?", and the like hold no water IMO. If God were to intervene and stop things like war, he would be imposing on our free will.

I can't explain everything (can anyone?), but that's what I believe. Maybe I'll post more later. Right now I have to go to class.
