Worst Game you've ever played.

...Vigilante 8 was an alright game but just had low replay value

Omg! :p Vigilante 8 was great fun on multiplayer..well i thought so anyway, could play that for hours and hours on end.

Worst game i've ever played...there is to many to name. As for halo on gamerankings.com, it means nothing, a review is a reviewers opinion, 1 person, not 1 million peoples opinions wrapped into one, not to mention all the reviews would of been comparing Halo to Xbox (or PS2) FPS games and lets face it, there isn't many that are worth mentioning. Halo was below average, it was just released at the right time on the right console to get all its good reviews. I hated it from day1 of xbox's release when i bought the two :/ i'm just not a FPS person and don't particually see anything in them, HL2 was ok, FarCry is my favourite FPS..the rest pretty much suck. RPG's games for the win! :p

Devestation.

Worst AI in a video game ever.

worst game ever has to be Gun Metal. Its just so rubbish and makes no sense. I did get it free with a graphics card though

Firestarter

Made by the same company who's making Stalker...

Man, did that game suck!

So again, yes halo does suck ass.

Going have to agree with you on that one, Tr0n. I have halo pc at home, sp is just horrible, MP was fun for a bit..... Another game, is this bass fishing game my cousin owns, its horrible, along with a bear hunting game. He knows how to pick out some crappy games let me tell you.

DRIV3R as well. :| :| Awful.

I tried to play that on my cell phone, all I get is lag, I payed $6 for it too :(

I can`t remember which is the worst one, but definitely Halo is in my Top 5 "will-not-play-again" list

Can`t see what is so special with it. Except that it is boring.

no real worsts atm as i think :hmph: but big disapointments are brothers in arms and doom3, played once, never again after.

let's see....

drake and the 99 dragons
Daikatana
I thought Far Cry was OK but nothing special

that's pretty much it. I try to avoid playing crappy games, so my list isn't too long...

-Luigi's Mansion
-Any Mario Party game after the 2nd one
-Driv3r
-Halo2
-CounterStrike Source.

counter-strike: source
-worst aiming system i have ever seen in a video game
-useless ****ing barrels everywhere that push you back when your trying to move forward
-unbalanced levels that give one team the advantage
-unbalanced money system that makes the loosing team stay poor, and the winning team to keep getting more money so they can continuely out gun the loosing team and make the game unfun.
-2 character models
-unbalanced guns, some are too ****ing powerful, some are pin-point accurate, and some are both
-too many hackers play the game, making it unfun and too many disgusting sprays everywhere from everything to someone shitting stuff out their ass and catching it in their mouth to porn sprays.

Any game that makes the player absolutely hate it, is pretty bad.

Well, you are one of the few that hate CS, just go look at server count and player count. :p

i dont know about that, whenever i go look for a good server, 95% of them are filled with bots...

Can't remember the name of it, I think it was "Lone Soldier" or something, for the Playstation. It was absolutely atrocious.

Oh, and any one of the "Army Men" games.

-Angry Lawyer

This talk of Army Men has awakened something I tried to blot out, successfully. I will concur that it is the worst game I have ever personally played. I picked up I think the 3rd one in the refuse rack. Godawful. The controls were useless. The only mildy amusing thing were the giant holes in characters and the melting, but that got old fast...

I disagree with the first two. The fifth is a matter of opinion. And the middle two I agree with wholeheartedly.

It's a rarity, I know :) Figures I'd start back now, now that post counts are basically meaningless :D

tomb Raider, whatever the last one was.

Got it free with my graphics card, played it for half an hour, never made it out of the first part cause the controls were just cack.

I played that as a kid, one of the first games i remember. And as a kid, as a concept. i loved it. I loved the idea that you could turn into other creatures, probably the same reasons i liked pokemon and have a Druid in WoW.... Although i couldn't get past the second level, so im not sure about it gameplay wise.

Worst game i've ever played, thats a toughy... i cant remember poor games, i know i've played them, but... i cant remember them. my brain is wiped.
I guess halo 2 would be one of them. It's repeatative, its supposed to be some way tactical but on harder difficulty you're just unloading more ammo (rediculous amounts) into the targets, its not harder.

I thought Star Wars Galaxies was bad, the worlds were just running along a barren surface, for miles and miles to get somewhere, kill some stupid craetrures and run back again. not fun whatsoever.

Crazy Taxi was poor...just... ugh.

America's Army imo is pretty poor as a game, its more of a simulation but, free is good, cant complain really.

There are much worse games out there though.

So, because you like it... CSS is a matter of opinion... but it's apparently a fact that Halo 2 sucks even though it has tons of fans?

The Halo games aren't my favorite games of all time (they aren't even in my top 10)... but they are, by no means, pieces of shit. They weren't revolutionary in any aspect, but they were definately quality games. They had better soundtracks than a lot of movies I have seen lately. The control scheme is about as good as it gets on a standard controller. They had at least functional, if not impressive, AI. For an Xbox launch title, Halo had at least above average graphics... and Halo 2 bumped up the level of detail a bit (to expect a major leap in quality would be unreasonable). The story is simple compared to the books but it was integrated well into the gameplay, so it worked. The level design of Halo was repetitive later in the game because Microsoft rushed them to get it ready in time to ship as an Xbox launch title. They both had excellent cooperative modes. They both had fun multiplayer components. Halo 2 even became the standard to which all Xbox Live games would be compared because of how well everything was integrated and the extra online functionality available on the web site.

If you didn't like them, it doesn't necessarily make them bad. If, out of almost a hundred reviews of each, the average score was 96% for one and 95% for the other... there has to be something good about them.

Hmm I would say halo but meh it seems I don't like any fps games single player anymore, it's all the same now...so dull. So I vote for prisoner of war :D hah what a joke of a game.

I was basing what I said on my personal opinion. I am not going to go into this, but what I was saying is I dislike Halo very much, and I can easily see why people hate CSS. It's just that I like it.

I don't have any specific game I hate except some of those old NES glitchy POS...

But in terms of newer computer games....
Halo-Halo2. That's my top. I can't have fun playing it. I tried..god knows. And I just COULDNT enjoy any of it.
Ricochet anyone?
Starwars: Battlefront....when it takes 50 shots...to kill someone GAH.

NOW FOR THE WORST GAME IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. Something Awful explains it best.

Having an arguement whether Halo 2 or HL2 are better games in this thread doesn't make sense, it isn't about which is the BEST game of all time.

Both are fantastic games, I don't like Halo that much, because I too think its too slow and kind of repetative, but t's by no means a bad game at all, just wasn't my taste. Now you all know a worse game than Halo 2, even if you thought it was bad, be honest.

Just because my friend mike is absolutely obsessed with Halo, it doesn't mean he's a bad person and should be allowed to be shot, in fact, I'm happy that he likes it so much. It's good to see people getting enjoyment out of anything.

So, back on topic, Spawn the beat em' up for playstation 1. Awful, the graphics were worse than spawn's hamburger face. Gameplay didn't work. I mean, the buttons, they did nothing. And the shitty reptative heavy metal/horror movie guitar tracks would skip.

Worst Game? Lemme see...

Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness
Fireworrier
Pepsi Man. Jeeebusssss.
Any cursed Army Man Game. I mean... seriously...

I think Halo is actually quite fun, but only because of Co-op and multiplayer - and pretty good soundtracks. The soundtrack fits. That's all i can say.

"Unreal 2" and "Deus Ex Invisible War" Is what i'm tempted to say... they're certainly the two most disappointing games I've ever played, but not necessarily the worst... though they do suck. I'm always tempted to say "Halo", except I do like the game. There just needs to be a major redressing of critical balance over a game that receieved some absurdly high review scores. I'm fairly sure that the journalists who rated Halo so highly did so under the influence of Alcohol. Or pretty pieces of Green Paper handed over by a certain software giant.

"Columns Crown" for the GBA was awful, probably the game i've played the least. I got it after picking up a puzzle game called Denki Blocks for a little money. I spent most of my holiday playing that one and wanted to repeat the success. Generally though, i've always been good at dodging particularly bad games.

And anyone who says that Counter Strike is the worst game ever sucks. No really - the only people who hate Counter Strike are those that are too spineless to admit to themselves that their enjoyment of the game is severely hampered by their own inability to grasp the game mechanics and do well at the game, rather than said mechanics being poorly designed or anything else in the game being crap.

I should know - I've never really understood the CS phenomenon but i've come to accept that this is largely because I'm just so unbelieveably crappy at the game.

I agree. Its not the worst game in the world, its not the best game in the world, its quite entertaining if you're actually good at it. There's a reason this game has survived for so long.

Duke Nukem: Manhatten Project, crap rushed game.

Barbie dipshit adventure, Did you know that this game had about 27 release candidates before the publishers couldn't be bothered to test it anymore?

So the standard aiming system used in every FPS (and a fair amount of third-person games, since WASD became the norm) since mouselook was introduced...is suddenly crap because it's in CS:S? Fair enough, if you don't like the game, you don't like the game. But that's just a silly reason.

The worst game I've ever played is a tough one, I would probably have to go with either the original Army Men, The Getaway: Black Monday or some crappy winter sports game involving woodland animals that I had on the Amiga.

worst games i've played -
star wars the pantom menace
armoured fist 3

countless demos too
*shudders
