^^ Would this be an upgradeable gaming computer(upgradeable as in the future) that could play FarCry, Half-Life 2, and some other new gen games? Oh, and is there anything i am missing besides a static wristband?

yes, but get another 512mg of ram.

then we'll have identical systems.

.. Hmm.. Hopefully i can fit another 55$ in my budget =/. So a 30$ power supply will work?

Err, i don't understand what either of you said? Lost are you talking about my ram? Don't mostly all computers take sdram?

Chaintek make horrible motherboards, and that powersupply is insufficient.

Sorry :|

Invest in a quality power supply instead of buying a cheap generic one. I have a generic 350w piece of crap that gives me nothing but problems.

You linked the board twice so I hope you are not going to buy 2 of them. =p

From what I have seen Chaintek boards are pretty good for their price. Although I wouldn't get one because they are going to stop making boards very soon.

Stick with 512MB DDR SDRAM (PC3200) memory for now and put that money towards a solid powersupply. Brand/quality is just as important as watts. Once you get a soild powersupply then go for another 512MB sometime. Don't sacrifice stablity. ;)

Athlon 64, Socket 939, PCI Express and 6600GT looks all good.

Chaintech don't make shitty boards. I have one right now, from my first build. One year and no problems.
Btw, you're over-paying for the Video Card; you should be able to get a 6600GT for ~$150.

i have an Antec 350watt, it's it's perfect...
but 1gb of ram would be very helpful

Yeah, i saw a 220$ at comp usa, and i remembered seeing 150-170 on the net, so i just averaged it out =\. Thanks on the tip. How much are antec 350 watts?

I cant stress how much this is true, after going with a powmax psu (580 watts) for a few months i kept getting problems so my friend let me use his antec (380 watt) psu and it works great. One way to tell if its a quality psu is the weight. The antec was an anvil compared the the featherlight powmax psu. DONT SKIP OUT ON A PSU!!!!!!!

ok im done

If you're willing to spend the money, Ultra PSUs are really great. I have the 500w, and it works like a charm... the cables it comes with are positively brilliant.

They're just as bad as Winfast/Foxconn :p

My words of advice is - dont mix expensive and cheap componants - it's when you mix the expensive quality componants with the cheap ones that you get problems :)
