Im not going to lie. I have downloaded plenty of games before they were released in the past. But I dont think I would use a pirated copy of HL2. Id rather wait. Id enjoy it even more when I have the box in my hands, even though I wouldnt be as l33t as the people that play it first.

Some out of impatience; others, out of a desire to avoid spoilers in SP. There's no question in my mind, really.

simply becuase if it was like CS:CZ it would be lampooned by PC zone then be delayed and over hualed.

CS:CZ didnt just sit there finished for months on end, use some common sence people!

But the point is that as soon as HL2 goes gold you have 8 million Half life 1 players who will be buying (for the most part) regardless of seasons or whatever.

Hell, this year I'm stuck in Mexico, and let me tell you that they allways get good games one year later, they don't even have Half Life !!
They have here like some kind of flea market, and all the new games come 1 week later, so yes, I would/ (surelly will) buy it pirate, and when I have the chance to see HL2 then I will buy it original, no harm done.

I would illegaly download it somewhere somehow.. BUT... once it is officially released i would then venture into town to purchase the legal version and would proceed to destroy the illegal version that i possess.

I wouldnt, I was too lazy to go find the first one on the internet and it was super easy to find, I am even thinking about buying the game over steam just to not have to go to the store and get it, what makes you think I would take the time to find that version. (But I am going to get my copy at the store, im just thinking about it)
