Anyone in? Got my invite today. What a hassle to install the whole game and apply some sort of patch. At this rate I'll prolly be playing around tomorrow night. But oh well. Really looking forward to rolling a Goblin. Gonna make mine a warrior. A buddy of mine will go Shaman. Should work well.

I haven't played the TBC beta and I can't stand Outland either. As an expansion WotLK is so much better.

Plus I am looking forward to seeing the new Azeroth.

Northrend is cooler than Outland, maybe, but in terms of end game balance they really screwed the damn pooch on Lich King. Not having to use any crowd control and making AOE so godly pretty much ruined the game for anything but the most hardcore. Compared to old heroics like Shadow Labs shit just felt really Fisher Price.

Just played through the first 12 levels of the Goblin zone. Man, so much fun. Especially the starting quests are awesome. GTA Azeroth. The whole experience is a bit like the Death Knight starting area, only a lot longer. Lots of phasing, but a tad more subtle than in WotLK. Loving it so far. Can't really judge about the worgen, because I hardly played them yet.

I tried playing WoW again recently. One of my friends recruited me and so we got 300% experience gain when grouped together, it was pretty great. We got up to level 20 like 5 hours just questing. Anyways, after two days of playing I log in to see that my account has been permanently banned. Apparently my account security was compromised? Seems like a widespread problem. I was never even able to get a hold of blizzard, I called customer service and was on hold for two hours, I never received any emails back. I've been playing MMO's for over 10 years, and this is the first time my account has been hacked. WTF

Those premades are awesome btw. They come with 5000 gold, full enchanting and jewelcrafting and loads of other goodies. Gonna make myself another Hunter, see how the new gameplay mechanic works.

The first 6 levels with the goblins are the most fun you'll have in WoW ever. There are some fighting quests, but basically it is doing cool stuff. Livening up a party, running over looters, robbing a competitor. You even get to play in a weird game of American football. It is awesome.

And Bad^Hat, it is only the mount you get during the first 6 or 7 levels. It is awesome though. It even has a stereo. :smoking:

Orgrimmar looks like it's been significantly redesigned for the better. I haven't gotten a beta invite yet but there's new stuff coming out on MMO Champion pretty regularly now.

Yeah, it seems weird to update the old Azeroth and not include those.

Orgrimmar became bigger somehow. Maybe it is because it has a back door now, but it seems huger. I also quite like the new Stormwind Keep.

Metzen or someone was quoted as saying they plan to overhaul the character models, but it wouldn't be in at launch with Cataclysm. It'll be a future content patch, and probably optional in case people (read: idiots) want to hang onto the old ones.

Problem I have with that is I'd never know how my character looked to other people. :|

It's not the size, dwarves are ok. It's the horribly-proportioned models and the gimmecky nature of their very existence.

Client got updated last week, so maybe that means more invites.

Well, I nostalgia'd out the ass at the part where it plays the original vanilla WoW theme with a little Cataclysm remix.

When cataclysm launches, the old world will become a phenomenon to newbies.
