Why don't you just download the whole source leak from the numerous torrents out for it?

Ok Arno, what you are saying does make some sense and I understand where you are coming from. But why would Valve go back into Half-Life 1 code, copy ONLY the comments, and paste them in the Half-Life 2 SDK? The code following the comments is not the same. It doesn't make sense for Valve developers to go in, copy comments word for word and paste them in the Half-Life 2 SDK. Now the code itself looks like bit's and pieces of code from various files in the Half-Life 1 SDK with a few comments edited or cut out.
Well, my reasoning is: a programmer from Valve took a file from the HL1 SDK and edited the code to make it work for HL2. He didn't alter the comments much, because they don't influence how the code works and nobody outside Valve is supposed to read the comments anyway. So that gives you a file with similar comments, but with adapted code.

What you're saying might be true, but from what I've read here it just seems like too much work to be fake.

I'v found some stuff that says it's havok but no actually physics calculations, If i find algothrims for moments then I might start to believe it's real (the Havok part that is). It could have been taken from the Flash SDK tho one of the versions of that has havok physics built into it.

or it could be a bunch of mumbo jumbo that we can't decipher anyways

well razorblade kiss, I could see people believing that this Half-Life 2 source code is real because upon first glance it does look very real, and if you have no programming experience you really couldn't tell if it was real or not. But if you take it apart you can see it's fake. People do get very worked up about stuff like this though, and the people who made up this fake SDK had WAY too much time on their hands.

Tell us why it's fake the qckbeam?
So eager to claim, but not to prove.

To me, it looks quite real, after about 45 minutes of reading.

I'll assume a lot of people did what I did and voted for the wrong option because HE WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS!!!1 ( unless you look at his name ;( ) put two different bloody questions.

Thread Closed - pointless poll as half the results are wrong.

Thread re-opened due to a PM request - Poll edited and closed.

either way if its true or false, what affect does it have on us? we can't play hl2 right now, bottom line. so why even freak out?
