I think he means that there are somethings that doom 3 will do better then HL2 like the lighting system. So HL2 can't get a 10 because with those 2 games being out around the same time that HL2 should have it too, otherwise its not as perfect as it could be.

dunno.
with every passing day HL2's features are less impressive since many other games are including them and actualy releasing on time.
HL2 could be utter sh*te and half of you would still say it ownz.

but as long as the doom 3's engine can do it...you know the restOriginally posted by GhostValkyrie
Doom III is said to boast the same level of physical interaction, and seeing the old E3 demo showed off the lip-syncing. Of course; HL2's system does the lip-syncing, DoomIII is animated.
However; I don't think DoomIII will have wood shattering floors...especially since there's no evidence, or need, for wood in DoomIII.

Heck, I bought HL so I could play CS. I never even beat the first level of HL.

I believe you, since HL doesn't have levels.

well I'm not going to be dazzeled by the lighting in DoomIII, my monitor will be on full brightness so I can see dark areas, plus I play on an LCD so you don't really get the same depth and color of a CRT. Anyhoodlydoodle... the lighting looks like plastic anyways. (does to me).

According to Gamespot:
10.0: "Perfect"
This exceedingly rare score refers to a game that is as perfect as a game can ever aspire to be. A game that receives this rating could not reasonably be improved upon in any meaningful way.
It's quite possible that Half-Life 2 could end up like this.
Just look at some other high-rated games (I know these are only two, and for the old N64, but it goes to show that it could happen).:cheese:

Hmmmm... I never thought of that as a bug... just... handy!Originally posted by HybridM
Well, I would have given Mario64 10/10 except for the swimming bug where you could always regain full health. I would consider fixing that to be a meaningul improvement.

At $60, this game is pricey, but worth it for a number of reasons.

Good, nothing special.

Where'd you get $60 from? Thought it was going to be the same price as every other new game on the market.
