Bought Madden XX Cellectors Edition. Came with Madden 09 and Headcoach 09. Should have had some bonus content, but Gamestop ****ed up and gave me a second copy of Headcoach. Oh well.

Got sealed copies of THPS and THPS2 for Playstation for $9.

This game was basically my cue to not like video games anymore. I guess this was probably the first hastily cobbled together clone of Metal Gear on the PSX, which ruined everything because suddenly, every game had to have stealth bullshit. What if I want to single-handedly take on an army, all at once? What was wrong with that plan? Don't play with the formula that got you where you were, New Coke.

Just pre-ordered Starpoint: Gemini which is basically a mix of StarFleet Command and an open-ended space RPG complete with a dynamic story with multiple endings, randomly generated missions as well as scripted missions etc.

Amazon had some really cheap RPG games today as well as a shitload of others. Got myself Demon's Souls w/cd and extras and Trine for PC all for $27 including shipping :)

Trine is an RPG?

not that I'm aware of. Just saying I also got Trine for $5. anyway went to best buy and bought this for my house/mom/dad whenever the kids are over etc

comes with a CD and shit

also got my nephew Pikmin for $6 brand new on the Wii at Bestbuy and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker on the DS for my nephew. He told me he stays up till 1am playing DS games so that made me feel really good. I know hes hooked now and its the perfect time to introduce RPGs to him

Got a sealed copy of Gran Turismo for PS1 for $3.33.

Heroes of Newereth (with my luck S2 will make it free within a month)

Gothic 4 on steam and runs like crap with the patch and hotfix, even on a high end pc. Just finished Divinity 2 dragon night saga was great.

Waiting for the Christmas sale on Steam to spend a lot of money.

Dragon Age: Origins

60 hours in or so, sooooooooo much to do. Considering Dragon Age 2 is set for, what, March? Finish the game in 3 months and try to get platinum. Hmph. Me no thinkie so. Temptation of the new one will be too much.

NFS: Hot Pursuit

Much needed new take on the NFS's best game. It reaks of Criterion, and therefore Burnout, but I love Burnout's style, so I will love this game too.

Graphics are pretty damn amazing in places, cars rival the look of those in GT5, and the game is just fun. Online progresses with your singleplayer rankings and car unlocks etc, which is a nice touch, though would shorten the play time. It feels really well balanced, so you never feel cheated. Its definitely more Burnout than NFS, like The McMerc SLR, which will please and piss off people equally.

Cars are broken up into 5 categories, performance, super, hyper etc. And each group has about 10 cars. There are certainly differences between each car. A Porsche handles better than a Mazerati for example, but the Mazerati is quicker on the straights and has REALLY sluggish steering. Starting a powerslide feels really slow.

And the suspense this game has is pretty awesome. Fleeing for the border, screaming through a tunnel that gets lit up by the blue and red flashes of the cops behind. Really adds a thrill to the chase.

For fun I would reccommend this over GT5 any day. Its unrealistic of course though.

I bought Two Worlds II for the XB360 yesterday!

It's a fantastic RPG, I am enjoying it far more than I enjoyed Oblivion! Sure, story isn't great, it's the same basic generic bs as Oblivion, but the world design, the crafting, it's all so fun, not to mention it looks tons better than Oblivion in my humble opinion! Great fun in multiplayer too!

Also, I -just- purchased Minecraft before the price is raised, will try to start playing that sometime soon!
