what do you mean by complete freedom in actions? That, if it means what I think it means, is a pretty grandiose claim which Molyneux does with most of the games he works on. Last I heard about the game the features about aging characters and stuff was severly cut down. I remember reading a post...
Agreed, if the demo had been easy then people would have complained that the full game was much too hard and that they were fooled by the demo, wasted their money etc.... At least the demo gives a fair representation of the difficulty of the full game, because then people can decide that they...
I usually throw grenades up the tank's backside(where it's armour is weakest). It may have been my imagination but that did damage the tank enough, so that the crew bailed out. Thus effectively neutralizing it.
I actually prefer Age of Empires to those games mentioned(more specifically the Rise of Rome expansion pack). Age of Empires 2 isn't too bad either, but I prefer the original + RoR. That said though, Red alert was one of the games(along with Quake, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle) that got...
It tells you the what you're supposed to do in that mission(which by the way is a bonus challenge mission in the full version). FFS a cutscene plays telling you, you need to defend against the attacks and rescue the colonel. What more do you want? While I agree that the controls are not...
To be honest, I've registered at so many forums that I've lost count. I usually just lurk at the forums for those respective games, I usually only register to post once the games are out. The reason I registered here is because the main forums I hang out one(I've got about 800 or so posts there)...
Yeah I got the full game last Thursay(even though it was meant to be released on friday :E ). The ability to save does make things a little easier, but it is still a very challenging game. I'm playing through the UK missions first and they seem to have a sort of commandos feel to them, not the...
I'd been following Xenus for a bit. It takes place in columbia I believe. With you looking for your sister who's been kidnapped by one of the gangs. I think the company was on offshoot from the one developing STALKER. It did sound like a similar style of game to STALKER back then. This was a...
Surface Tension and We've got hostiles. There's was also that level in OpFor which was full of those assassins, which I thought was kind of cool, can't remember the name though. Foxtrot something ?
@ Dedalus:
I actually found the outer cradle much scary. Once I got to the inner cradle and I saw my enemies it wasn't really as scary for me. I played a no-kill game so I just sneaked around those guys. You should check out the thread at ttlg, that goes into some of the story behind the...
