If it were for hyper-threading, it would not be giving a clockspeed. That would be like having "SSE 1Ghz." Processors also have limited bus speeds, which is why they would list the Hyper Transport speed on the processor as well as the MoBo.
When something says "HT 1Ghz" it is not referring to Hyper-threading (which is a technology Intel uses). It refers to the Hyper Transport speed, which is similar to the front side bus used by Intel.

I've been really happy with my Sennheiser PC150's. They don't block out all sound around you or anything, but the sound quality is awesome and the felt padding is really nice. You can pick them up for ~$50 US as well.

You do not own gold. Because you bought the game retail, I believe you only get HL2 (and CSS and HLDM) and the stuff that came in the collector's edition box. Look on the packaging and it should say what games you get.
