wtf are you talking about? even the AMD64 CPU's dont even use 64 bit mode because linux is the only OS with 64bit support for PC's. with people using windos as their OS they wont be utilizing the 64bit mode. your statement is just crap. just because his CPU is 32bit doesnt mean its automatcally...

if you bought the game via steam and have all the media DL'ed onto your computer then i dont see a problem with this. but people that have purchased the game from a retail store and have the hard copies might have a problem but i doubt it. steam makes it so that you just register your product...

i just ran steam and when it logged into my account it brought up a window that said something about unlocking half life 2 steam files. and now its preloading more files. im just a little baffled by this. can anyone enlighten me on what this may be about?

folder and there is an .exe in there for half life. i think that youll be able to play it without steam. this would be cool if it were true but i guess we will have to wait and find out.
