Thanks everyone, Check the update for a smoother barell. Enui, all my friends only had 3 days spring break but I had the whole week, so until monday I have alot of free time to model. =P Yea Garfield, I usually play around here and there with Photoshop but when I see other skins I don't...

    DPMS Classic

You know Hazar, you read my mind. I can never find a good skinner to skin my models so I'm trying to learn how to skin myself. But I can't find any good Phoroshop video tutorials on skinning weapons. Reagular printed tutorials are good but you all know how better a video tutorial would be...

Need help with Berreta 9000 vtm

I don't really understand your problem. At that part of the video he just clicks the scale button, holds shift, scales down, and moves the selected edges. Also, I can't read the text in the pics.

    Character: Vanguard (final)

Wow, that is excellent. But yea, fatten the arms a bit, but still keep him a bit skinny because I like the young soldier look he has on him right now.

    Need help with .QC files

Oh! The joint problem is in 3ds max? You should be able to fix it by going to the top and go the Graph Editors>Curve Editor. I use to know alot about this when I attempted to learn animating but I took the path of modeling instead. Let me mess around with it a bit then I'll see if I get it...

    [WIP] Scar L-1

It's not bad. Pretty good. The magazine is to boxy, use the chamfer tools on the edges around it and for the edges a little above the magazine on the gun. It would definitly look alot better if you add some of the side details, like buttons switches and stuff.

Hrm..I guess it's more complicated than I thought. I remember your great program. I don't know why I didn't use that in the first place. I'll go check it out now.

    Need help with .QC files

Now I understand most of the part about importing models into cs but the part I really don't get is the .QC file. If I want to import a weapon into counter strike how do I know which commands to use? It's really the only part that I don't fully understand. Ok, heres one thing I tried. I...

Yea, I kind of noticed how the front sight curved too much, and yea I did include the aiming pin in the front. I should have put a better rendering angle.

I can't answer that, I use 3ds max. Sorry. :borg:

    Skinning models

Yea, you make it 2d so you can get the image into photoshop and start putting the skin on it. Then you export it back into whatever 3d program your using...well..so you can have the skin on the model.

I tried to model the rearsight as accurate as I could. Tell me what you all think. And oh yeah, I got the poly count down to 1563 BEFORE putting the rear sight on. I'll give a final polycount after I finish the model.
