Steam mods know nothing more than anyone else. They are merely tech support for current Steam versions.
I like how the the first word in this "email" is spelled wrong :/
aww cry poor baby. Valve did everything they could to make DX9 on nvidia not suck but they weren't successfull.
Remember you are the dumbass that bought a $400 unproven DX9 card. goodjob.
lol... I played TF and TFC also...ok, I'll package TF and package TFC under two different names and I bet everyone would be like "Wtf this is the same thing". Yea.. forts and teams.. right.
The game design is the same.. There are minor differences and the porting it to a different engine had...
lol... TF2 was what Valve was supposively working on as their main project for the past 5 years... Now we found out that they were actually concentrating on HL2. And the "new" engine was being made for TF2... Duh.. what do you think Valve was doing all this time? Nothing?
I personally never thought that Valve was going to go "Here everyone! **** with our benchmark!"
It's only logical for them to give it to hardware sites and let them report the stats to the public.
I think the key word there is PUBLICLY. Hardware sites may have it already and you'll be able to test out the game engine yourself on September 30th, when the game is released. They don't want you spoiling HL2 by messing with the benchmark BEFORE the game is released, you know :P
ATI used to suck for the longest time... but within the last year their cards have been much better than nvidia.. and if you are upgrading for HL2, ATI is the ONLY choice without a doubt.
I mean the 9600 performs better than the 5900 Ultra!? lol... the 9600 Pro can be bought for $130. The...
more ram is ALWAYS better.. it makes everything run smoothly. Both in and out of game. RAM owns.
I wouldnt get more than 1 gb tho. I know newegg.com had Crucial 256 DDR ram for $30.. so $60 for another 512? Very good upgrade.
I'd just like to say don't believe anyone in IRC... cmon now, I could join #steam and say "Read: HL2 is delayed until November"- and I think it's already been proven in the past that the ops have no idea what they are talking about. They only provide help with Steam. They know nothing more than...
