Computer Gaming World with Editor-in-Chief Jeff Green imo is by far the best gaming magazine out there. It's got a rich sense of humor, gives honest reviews, and has a great staff.
we're getting lots of work done on models, sounds, skins, etc, but it's still hard to say. We're hoping for an internal alpha early 2005. Around the New Year
The Last Great War, http://www.lastgreatwar.com, recently launched a new site and media update, as well as the news that we are currently looking for all types of members, but mainly Animators, Player Modelers, and UV Unwrappers.
LGW is a WW2 Mod for HL2 focusing on the PACIFIC for it's...
the singleplayer element of LGW is my favorite part personally. Though it is seperate enough to be it's own mod, It's also gonna be developed on the side, so the people working on the MP dont get distracted.
Planes: We dont have any official plans for any player-controlled aircraft. What with...
World War I was known as the Great War, and WW2 is sorta known as the last great war.
WW2 was the last war of that scale really, even though I guess theres been 5 or 6 World Wars. There were a ton of wars from ancient times till modern times that could easily rival WW1, WW2.
The Last...
We at The Last Great War have just updated with a new website, media, and new theater. One of the biggest things coming with this update is the announcement that we're going to focus entirely on the Pacific Theater of Operations for our initial release, featuring the United States, the British...
we should be back in track by June, we got the forums abck up, and we're back in contact with eachother.
WW2 is old and cliched, and our MP may be more of the same, I hope with a few new gameplay twists.
Its our singleplayer that I hope really is gonna be special, its gonna be more...
The Last Great War might use some writing talent to help with our singleplayer, which is imo, half of what LGW is all about.
A basic plot outline has already been formulated, but we still want some writers, concept artists to perfect it, fill in the gaps, complete it, etc...
Two things are right around the corner, you're probably skeptical of both releases. The HL2 SDK and LGW's new website. If HL2's SDK does stick to Valve's word and gets itself released within a few weeks, dont be surprised if LGW tries to nail the same day as the SDK release with our new site...
I dont like to see LGW described as 'extremely accurate' and extremely realistic. There will probably other mods more a lot realistic than LGW, but we'll feel realistic enough.
With our site going up soon, and the sdk only days away, we're going to do our best to look and feel unique...
Ello all;
Shanwa, our musician at LGW has composed a short piece for the LGW Flash intro.

music starts then flash fades in.. ..
Our website was originally supposed to go live a few weeks back, but we're holding off for a few more weeks to...

You can still visit our forums
Heres an example of what you can see for the new render...
Our lead 2D Artist has to take a small vacation until later this winter, making our need for a 2D Artist greater.
If you don't have any work examples for your application, you can request for an already uvw unwrapped model to try out.
Last Great War is looking for 2D Artists/skinners. Our new website is under construction, but the old forums are still up. We're a large ambitious, and active mod. Check us out.

The Last Great War is currently on the lookout for talented 2D Artists, capable of either skinning, or making map textures. It is prefered that you have atleast some knowledge in specular maps, and/or bump maps.
We are a quality mod, with one of the biggest fan...
the star wars mod for Battlefield 1942 is also looking very promising, its basically Galaxies without the RPG elements and the $10 a month pay, its all straight action. I know I'm getting it, Battlefield 1942 has some great mods, Eve of Destruction, Galactic Conquest, and apparently everyone's...
