Yeah I guess this is a wierd thing to be posting on a forum at a website for a huge PC game, but what the heck, its the off topic forum. Anyways there are a few websites out there that Im sure you've all seen similar pages to where you can get a free product (In this case, a PSP) by signing up...
Wow I nvr knew that. In that case I may just OC a GT if I have to. *Wonders how far an Ultra could go...* :)
Thanks for the info! The pwr supply I was lookin at was a Thermaltake Silent PurePower 560W Power Supply for AMD and Ive heard lots of good stuff about Thermaltake so that probably...
I dont want to take risks and voiding warrantys...but I Guess ur right. I found some on ebay, but w/ electronics that can b risky, and i found one 4 650$ at newegg. They should be cheaper somewhere...
If I were to sell this tower (no moniter or anything) how much money do you think I could get if I put in in the paper or made a deal online? Its a dell (Maybe I should hide that ;-) )
P4 2.53ghz processor
512 MB (256x2) RDRAM
80 Gig Hard-drive (I think its 7200rpm but im not positive)...
www.interlopers.net had loads of tutorials on plenty of things (really nice mapping site), but not video. halflife2files.com has some vid tutorials, and hl2world has tutorials as well, but again, not video.
NOTE (anyone know why if you type in the adress to hl2world these forums block it out...
I cant find the article that talked about the 6800 being used so maybe your right, though i do remember reading about ther 6800 being used... who knows
hehe, I know it sounds a little far-fetched maybe, but Im not joking. I think i saw it at the Gamespot rumor-control section, but Im not sure. However I am positive that it is using a ATI chip now, the r500. I just read it in a news article...
If it sucked so bad than why did it get a Gamespot Editors Choice award? I wouldnt know though, so you might be right. Anyways hes talking about visuals and controls, not gameplay-wise.
I thought valve confirmed quite a while ago that they'd release it for xbox, but i think it will need to...
dang it thats close...the 6600 creams the pro in CS:S but a lot of Nvidia cards did great in CS:S but then lost to the Radeons in the actual Half-life 2. It be nice if they had that up there...
EDIT: Wait screw that I just found this card and Im getting it...
Hi,
Ive recently noticed that the Geforce 6600 GT AGP has come out and Im wondering which would be better: that or the standard 128 MB 256 bit Radeon 9800 pro? Id assume the 6600 gt but I hadnt seen much review-wise, so I wanted to check.
I wasnt aware that there was supposed to be a surprise but anyways when is the CS:S models/maps update supposed to be released?
And of course there's always TF2 and they said they'd release info on TF2 once source was out and, well, weve known about it for a while now so I think they'l...
I dont think its a problem. I mean, it'd be better to get a new one and play it safe if you have the moeny, but I dot think its that big of a deal. I havnt heard of many problems, though Im sure that you dont get a 100% guarantee or anything.
dk, but you should also take interest in the SAPPHIRE x700 pro for 250$.
EDIT: 205 at newegg. Im not sure if the x700xt is out yet. And I think all the sapphires are special enhanced "hybrid" x700 cards w/ GDDR3 memory and stuff. Eventually theres supposed to be an AGP x700 but I think that...
Ok thanks for the advice. Ill take that much higher into consideration- I hadn't before. Ive seen the BFG 6800 OC version, a little faster, for 275$ on ebay, that will probably be my choice. But not definately, as Ive also been interested recently in the TV funtions of the 9800 pro AIW.
Ive bought many things off ebay and I havnt had a single problem yet, plus the one I was looking at was being sold from a platinum dealer. Dont worry about that. The 9800xt would be nice w/ overdrive, temp. moniters and possibly a HL@ coupon, but thats 350 and I heard that overall its a rip...
again 300 max. My specs are P4 2.53ghz proccesor, 512mb RDRAM, 80 gig HD, wtc. My current card is a Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4200 64mb...
As for overclocking...the only kind I would do would be overdrive from ATI since it doesnt void the warrenty. If I was going serious I would OC anything, but I...
Ok ive been going all over the place lookin for a mid-range card, willing to spend between 200-300 dollars, the less the better. I was lookin at the 9800 pro, then xt, then AIW, then BFG6800 oc and some other ones and I just cant really figure out what the heck I want. Do any of you have...
