yes, you should download the version that comes with cs and hl already installed. atm it is not downloading games like it should. as soon as I set hl deathmatch classic to download I can no longer play CS. so it seems to be having problems updating games.

from what I understand dx9 can do the same thing dx8 can do but it can do it much faster and it can also do a few extra things.
