It's free to download the steam installer, then it gets interesting:
1)If you have already bought a Valve made game in the shops, you will not have to pay anything else, and as a gift, Valve will give you full access to the classic game lineup (It's called the Platinum Pack and has Half Life...

Yes, what they are doing is indeed a good idea, they have just jumped into the whole operation without any idea of what to do.
They may be tech testing but they still need to plan out the show beforehand instead of just kicking the ball around as they go.
They need to study the HL2 info very...
As I have stated a few times before, my thought is that this is just the Valve HL2 tour being wrapped up, they started at E3, went to ECTS, shown the E3 footage, and are now about to appear in Japan with a "theater booth" just like they did at the other two shows.
Who's to say that mods have to be multiplayer, I have a feeling it'll be just the same amount of work to whip up a single player campaign as it would be to knock together a multiplayer mod.
If you haven't realised already, Valve are a bunch of perfectionists, they will not release HL2 at 95%...
My theory is that they have hit a big logistical problem, they wanted Elvis to announce the details, but they are not sure which Burger King he is working at.
Indeed, they might be tech testing at the moment, but considering there are people listening, the least they could do is get their facts right, and maybe even try to set up some kind of organisation, at the moment it's just a chaotic mishmash of lies, half lies and damned lies.
That's a good point, if you logged into steam on the second computer using your first log in details then it will not ask you for a key as you have already tied one to your account on the first machine.
If you created a second account on the second machine, then that's a different story.
