I had a socket A chaintech mobo and it was a great mobo. Never had any problems with it. The only thing that I would say is that you have to watch out with the manual since the translation isn' the best. "Place carefully a CPU in a CPU socket.." or something like that :P
Goto make sure you have good case cooling if you go with the premium since its passively cooled. The tiny chipset fan on my mobo is pretty quiet, never heard it, but then my gfx card's fan is rather loud..

check the fan on your graphics card, could be that the fan is spinning slower than usual and is allowing the card to get alittle too hot and crash you out of the games. Also do you get any error messages when teh game does crash because that might give us a clue to what the problem may be. Also...
so you are running windows xp 64bit edition? Not too sure if there are any compatibility issues with running games. Also are you using the latest 64bit drivers for your graphics card?
could always try updating your video drivers. Not really sure what the problem could be from the pics you posted, you tried reinstalling the game after a complete uninstall?

I hate to say this but i just googled "dual monitors & sli" and the responses I was getting wern't too good. People seem to disable SLi and then run there 2nd monitor. Best to check it out though. I'll also have a look later on.
Just noticed the way you setup your hsf. Is that fan blowing air through the heatsink or is it pulling the air through it? Btw like the look of your case, i'm thinking of either getting one of those or an antec p180 but they look like its pretty hard to wire them decently.
