From what I can make out - there seems to be the use of normal mapping on that santa model (considering the creases - but I'm only half sure, could be hi-res textures), and dynamic shadows seem present.
Well, it seems to be a new age engine folks.
...but both get nominated for GOTY 2004, along with Rome and Riddick.

Fair enough. I loved both games. :)

Looks a lot like Far Cry (the engine demos were better). I don't like the HUD, but otherwise looks pretty good. Dated for 2005.
It does NOT have soft shadows - very hard stencil shadows, with a lot of glitches. I liked doom 3's lighting/shadowing better than Riddick - but Riddick's gameplay puts D3's gameplay to shame.
Donnie Brasco was under rated. Al Pacino was great in it, and of course johnny.
Ed scissorhands is my second fav depp film, but while depp's emotional acting spoke TONS in it, the rest of the story wasn't earth shattering.
Metal Gear Acid is not an action/adventure game. It's a turn-based strategy, who's mechanics actually work amazingly for a portable (considering that the best turn-based startegy games can be still found on the GBA).
Next, the psp actually has some great games coming for it - the DS has had...
Is anyone having problems with setup?
I tried re-installing the game, to play it one more time - but the annoying "the game has crahsed" error comes. Anyone?
Actually - most 9/10s and 10/10 games were in the artistic category - only the 10/10 ones were in Technical. While WoW has awesome art-direction, I was more blown away by city 17, from an aesthetic point of view.
I think gamespot might also give the artistic award to HL2, and technical to...
IMO, the gameplay in HL2 was resembled a generic FPS, which is not bad, but not really great even.
Riddick has more original ideas (in terms of stealth and pacing) - and it's kinda fun collecting cigarette packets. :D
