Actually I think I read in an interview that you couldn't use a joystick for driving the vehicles in halflife2.

And when prices do drop you'll probably be able to pick up a 9800 pro, which still gets like 10 FPS more than the 9600 XT. Different core technology and archatecture and stuff. And they'll probably drop in price soon after the next generation graphics cards are unveiled.
Pretty much it's hard to say which is better, they're both designed for gaming and the both do very well on it. Just avoid celerons, definately not made for gaming. Everyone else has pretty much hit it on the head.
Building a computer definately doesn't make sense if you're just looking for a net ready computer for a family member or friend, in the end a mid performance system from Dell is going to be the better value. While the hardware all together may be a little bit cheeper in all by a couple hundred...
Yep i just did a check, it has one digital output, 3 analog outputs and a firewire port. Refer to your manual or an online PDF to figure out which is which.
I'd have to say in my experience ebay is the best place to buy a mac, that or if you know a local school is upgrading their systems, but most of those places use PCs now.
it was probably 442 infected files, or files that were part of various viruses, 442 unique viruses would have taken skill to get. You'd probably have to go out of your way to infect your system with that many.
Yea next generation is going to be a little different, BTX, PCI-X, 64Bit processors, it's gonna be a fun to throw together a new system in a few years.
