For those wondering why he ran, he was from Brazil, which is considerably more dangerous than the UK. The instinct of most Brazilian city goers confronted by a group of men in plains clothes with guns would be (quite rightly) to run, which is exactly what he did.
Also, all of the witness...
I think there was a model for the speed of sound in Operation Flashpoint. Quite often when there were large explosions in the distance, it normally took up to a second after the explosion before the sound was heard.
I've played it. The MP is fairly mediocre in all honesty. The graphics didn't seem massively impressive, but there weren't any scaleable options so I suspect they've all been default set to low.
The weapons damage, slow motion and close combat all work fairly well, but the levels are...
Is that negotiable?
Does seem a shame to lay off the team though, and I agree with what others have said, it does smack of taking their mod then dumping them afterwards.
Also, it raises questions about any potential BF3s EA have planned down the line
Need to find my old manual
As for the budget release Rocker, it's sales probably declined steadily after teh SDK fiasco and the general fading away of the community.
Considering that rather shaky port to the PC, it might not be such a good idea anyway. The frame rate drops enough on just about any rig once you get going moderatly fast, and there won't be any NPCs or other objects at that distance either.
Yeah it really does look pretty impressive. I reckon it wouldn't look out of place if it was put in the middle of the highway level from the single player (I sadly forgot it's name)
Well, the MP is a bit of a mixed one. Some people like it, some don't. It's not all that bad, but it isn't really anything that's going to set the world on fire.
The SP is very good, but it sticks to a VERY linear path, which might turn some people off if they've gotten used to games like Far...
I've been close to this mod for a while now, and their work is really bloody good.
The Half Life 2 version is going to blow the old UT version out of the water, both graphically and gameplaywise (the old version was actually just a test version).
The NT fansite is certainly a good place to...
So basically, you started this thread as flame bait.
However, I agree with El Chi and whoever posted that picture. Pretty much sums up hackers, greifers and all the other types who exist soley to annoy others.
Channel 4 and the BBC are both very reliable sources of news in my opinion. They are never opinionated, they don't bother with editorials or anything other than the real facts and they try their best to simply tell it as it is most of the time.
I expect this is at least part of the reason...
I get your point, but I believe such a system could still be implemented to create good technological research. How about having goverment owned facilities, equipment and funds, then providing them to those the goverment (read: The people) deem best for the job. You would have the competition...
I have to say I agree to this. The number of stabbings in London each week is staggering. There are at least 5 each week which are deemed "newsworthy", many of which are fatal.
In terms of street violence, knives are probably more dangerous than guns. In rough areas, the number of people who...
I'm starting to get pretty hyped about this game. Watching the video, it really does look like they've pulled off something new, original and best of all, it looks fun.
I can't wait for some sort of demo to come out.
Sadly the video copped out before it reached the end. Oh well, at least I...
They don't need it. Guerrilla warfare is based around the idea of beating an opponent far larger than you without matching anywhere near their numbers or resources.
The fact is that the US ARE bogged down in a very similar situation to the Russians in Afghanistan. There is no way the US can...
I don't see it as neccesary. All the information the goverment needs to know about me is on my passport. Why should information such as my fingerprints be on a card?
I don't see why people should be forced to buy a £90 card either. While I agree that the Big Brother idea is a little over...
