you bought it :| ?
must've been pretty clueless. as for me, i downloaded it, just played that techdemo level alot
that's about it. i can barely remember it now
omfg. just wow.
when i was small (<8 years old) i had one dream that REALLY freaked me out. and it was one with this sympton; everything seemed far away.
i can't quite remember the dream, but it sure as hell freaked me out. never had it again though. :(
1. sub par story line
2. bullet time, been done before. using the half life engine even.
3. models look like they've recieved the plastic makeover, like doom 3 or far cry
4. overall graphics look decent. but then again, graphics don't make the game instantly good
my verdict....not...
I don't particually think 'bunny hopping' should be in HL2 (bunny hopping as in gaining insane ammounts of speed)
However, I love air movement. Being able to turn in mid air makes trick jumping available. In Half-Life 1 at the moment, the air speed is capped to 1.7x so you can never truely...
it was used to add more polygons to low poly models.
but really only worked properly with the 8X00 series of radeons. with the 9X00 series (or just 9500 and above) it isn't built in, so all the rendering is done through software. creating alot of lag
and to sum it up, it looks retarded now

go listen to some quality albums like Lunar Strain, The Jester Race, Colony and Whoracle by In Flames (ignore their recent stuff)
also check out some Arch Enemy, COB are...
It is DEFINATELY a demo bug. Look at 14 minutes with the alien thingies scene. At the start he doesn't have any armour, as soon as he's hit by one of them it jumps up to 52.
Demo bug.
