I have a P4 at 1.8, GeForce 2 MX, and 256 RAM- I run HL2 with everything on high and run at a stable 30 fps, so no system problems... I have DX9.0b as well. HOWEVER, when I shoot someone in the face, no blood appears on their face, just on the wall behind them. Advice?

If you don't know how to find a program to open them, maybe you shouldn't start editing things... do you know C++? A lot of the things you may want to edit is coded in C++.

Possibly compress and move to cellphones? (DukeNukem 3D, Call Of Duty, etc. have already been done) so why not HL2?

After browsing through the sound .gcf, I found a clip of the overwatch radio stating the following- "Reminder-100 sterilized credits qualifys non-mechanical reproduction simulation" ...This must mean that the Combine are made completely out of humans! EDIT:How can I post the sound clip?

Nope. I have yet to find the actuall music files in the HL2 dir. Kinda fun if you use 'soundlist' in the console and bind a key to play a sound eg bind f "play *soundname*"

Single Player can make you feel more in the game- and Multiplayer lets you have an awsome experiance with other people, both have thier perks, but I'm going Multiplayer.
