its probably the sound card cause i have z 640s and ive never experienced crackling with my audigy 2 ZS sound card :)

Ive heard that when you get a new graphics card you should reformat to make sure all old drivers etc are out...one guy stated he had problems going fomr nvidia to ATI and his graphics card was showing low performance until he reformated and started all over. I dont want to have to reformat if...

hmm...just found at buy.com that a 6800nu is only 250...only 50 more than the 9800 pro and the 6800 outperforms a 9800xt in some benches... the 6800 should run HL2 right? Ive read so much about how the game is optomized for ATI that i dont know anything anymore.. :rolleyes:

blah someone got it like an hour after i posted that :hmph: ...well im deciding right now if i should get a 9800 pro right now...or wait till xmas for a newer card (6800 or x800)..but i wanna have a great exprience playing hl2 first time around, but i dont know if my ti 4200 will handle that...

im using the "core center" that was included with my k8t NEO board..i never went into windows

well damn :-\ and it was odd that my comp froze even when it was at a low temp..
