i've heard unreal II was pretty buggy, but i myself had no problems. and i have athlon xp 1800+, geforce4 ti4400, 512mb pc2700. maybe you should look into replacing that cd. something could just be corrupt.

that's because the geforce4 is a directx8 card, and 3dmark2003 is a directx9 benchmark.
