This is a bit off topic, but I'm after a new PC and was wondering if something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=51144&item=5100978712 would be good value for money or not. I would upgrade the graphics card probably to a 9600pro or something. Thanks
I have 1.4 gig free, but I'm clearing some space on my windows drive (even though thats not where I'm dl it too) anyway.
Ps I've since had another fail at 8% - this time I made the mistake of uninstalling some software which restarted my computer
I can't believe it, first I get to 14% then it fails, then I get to 56% and it fails, then I get to 58% and Firebird tells me I havn't got enough room on D:, when I'm saving to M:, I mean I love firebird but that bug needs sorting!! I'm now back to 4% :frown:
back to the original topic, ive just installed a new 512 ddr ram stick, but i can still make it crash unfortunately. I tried a reinstall but same thing happens. doh
ive got a couple of other newbie questions:
with XSI experience as far as im aware, you can only save the files as 'scenes' (.exp). Does anyone know whether there will be something with the sdk that will be able to convert these in to a format that can be imported into hammer?
Also are...
when im running XSI my memory isnt being fully used, though admittedley a lot is being used. i think ill buy some more tomorrow. when you say 16 and 32bit do you mean colours? because i was running at 16bit colours, which ive just changed to 32bit
Hi, I've got the free XSI Experience and ive found it to be very unstable. It randomly freezes my computer. does anyone else have this problem? or any ideas why it might be doing this?
