2 Questions:
1. Awwww....is that another power connector?! Wait....maybe I can spare my hard drives...well.....no.....maybe my DVD drive can go.......ooops.....looks like I will have to instsall another power supply...lol. What is this? Over AMP the cards contest?! ATi...
OK, this sux, now I have to start over. A few days ago I disabled AA/AF and for some reason it didn't work, I still got the artifacts. Today, er as of last minute, I disabled them again, them being # of samples and FSAA mode. Last time I never set FSAA mode to App Pref so it was always on...
Yeah, Halo ran fine for me no artifacts of any kind, as for Doom 3 alpha, um, haven't tried it let alone I didn't know there was one? I will also look into that OC issue, I am running a Sapphire 9800pro, it utility is a little different for OC'ing, but I will check and see if it is OC'ing behind...
I know heating is not an issue, the artifacts appear on most ATi cards. Plus I weighted mine down pretty good with ramsinks and a Brick Cooler, so it's keepin cool now
But that issue just keeps bugging me, and so far it has only appeared in 2 games "made for" nVidia? I have...
I have recenty seen some re-occuring issues with lighting on games "made for" nVidia cards. (ie Far Cry, and Deus Ex 2) My fear is that maybe this isn't a game engine issue and that Half-Life 2 is going to be hit with the same artifacts. From what I hear people in other forums are getting pissed...
Click the above links at ATI.com and read the "Fixed in this version" section. It's basically like an application qualifying list, if you see one you own, upgrade. If not, then it is up to you, you may or may not benefit depending on the amount of changes. Here are the two revisions:
Catalyst...
Exactly, in a way.
This is somewhat old news, except for the part that Intel is thinking of implementing it into their new CPU's. Other comapnies have made prototypes that were for experimental use. However as this article says http://www.cpuplanet.com/features/article.php/2174101 the lazers...
Exactly, the Audigy 2 and later editions have advanced settings that allow you to set the "delays" for your speakers if they are a different distance apart. Most home theatre systems use this too, and I believe the newer ones have delays for all speakers...
Reguardless, with the Audigy 2 Platinum to the Audigy ZS series along with a Logitech Z-680 system. All of your speakers can be programmed and balanced separately. Hell if I wanted my rear left channel to change to center....I can! I go through the Audigy card settings and move the slider. If I...
Some recievers may electronically change the outputs for different setups through the dolby settings your reciever has. Check the user manual for a section that would pertain to audio modes or speaker modes. It may as well have you hook it up to the left channel as default since the reciever in...
Yeah, I use that one too. The great thing about it, is that it allows you to upgrade to ramsinks. Unlike the other brick coolers! Enjoy the VGA silencer!
Well upon further in depth tinkering with the game and console, I found some interesting results.
A: The FPS does increase by 2fps at 1280x1024 giving me a total of 62fps at 1280x1024 vs the 58-60fps at 1024x768. Not exactly a large change but nonetheless a change.
B: I was able to enable...
Here is some more food for thought.
Much like your problem with the resolutions on some machines...
Try running Far Cry at a higher resolution than usual. I found that when I run it at 1280x1024x32 it runs faster than it does at 1024x768x32. I don't exactly know why but it does.....Perhaps...
One item that really suprised me was the fact that there is a HUGE performance difference between the 9100/9200pro and the 9800pro... I was amazed at the fact that the 9100/9200pro could only run it at low settings. If it was pushed to medium, it would lock up. The 9800pro runs it on Very High...
