You have to follow the pathway and run around avoiding the helicopter and killing everyone you see. The helicopter is basically like a constant threat as you progress through the next part of the mission - you can't kill it until you get the rocket launcher.

I'm going to sound like a hl2 fanboy, and I am [I love hl2 because of how great it is, not for the sake of loving it], and just a few of the points I saw, are crap.
A game is a lot more than listening to just music. You have to install it just like any other game, but unlike every other game, this has a lot more to install. I agree with you, however. I can't believe Valve put all that effort into making an incredible game and game/update delivery system...
