i used to pirate a lot and i can tell you that I wasn't put off pirating a 3GB game before. however there are just some games that you do NOT pirate, such as Half-Life 2 simply because I think these guys actually deserve my money.
The coolest part was when there was a roller mine near a combine guy that Gordon was shooting at, and I think a combine further behind him threw a nade and it killed the combine infront and sent the roller mine flying to your right before it bounced and exploded. Just the way that happened was...
like Valve themselves said, fixing bugs is the easy part, creating compelling gameplay is what is hard. Valve have achieved the latter so I think its fair to say the former are minor niggles that will dissapear almost instantly
are you guys even watching the same video? the gibbing was dynamic. sometimes just a leg would blow off, sometimes it would blow into more bits, sometimes they didnt gib at all and other times all their legs would come off and be all ragdolled. seriously. someone needs to buy glasses
Team Fortress 2 was converted to source a few years ago, it hasnt just been converted. That is the reason nobody heard anything about TF2 for absolutely ages, because if they said anything then people would know about source and HL2.
i know this is a HL2 forum but the best weapon sounds I've heard in my opinion are the ones in Desert Combat for battlefield 1942. The allied pistol in that is just drool. Amazingly bassy.
