On my entry, don't forget to click the picture to see the original sized pic. It's too high rez to post directly on the forum ;). Also, i love the bloode on your zombie suicide, looks great. It should be tough picking tomorrow, that's for sure.
Yeah, I had a feeling I was going to get destroyed by RJMC. He's got way too much practice with that program ;). I think he did the conversion of his robot from one perspective to another one very well, espcecially for paint.
Awesome as usual RJMC. I must say...if anything like that happens in hl2, the game will be pretty hard. Looks like Freeman is in a pretty tough spot there ;). Great job.
Also, I just had to quote you about what you said with your dog and the clay. It was very funny. I hope you don't mind.
Entry #26 by Tim8604
Well guys... I probably spent a good 4-5 hours on ths after everything was said and done. I haven't done much art lately, but this reminded me how much fun it can be, to see the finished product :).
The original is too big to post on this forum, lol. It's around...
Looking awesome suicide. I shall reveal my entry soon. I've probably put a good 3 or 4 hours into this I would guess. I'm not sure though because i've worked on it so sporadically.
EDIT: Finally done with my entry! yay
Overall it looks nice, but on 1280x1024 your site looks like an icon on my desktop ;). I'd definately say scale it up a little bit at least. And I pick the top left picture also.
I think you are thinking of hex ;). Programming can be really rewarding after you get ahold of what's going on. If you want to start learning, just start with a high level language (c++, vb, etc) rather than assembly or something like that. Good luck with whatever it is you decide to do though.
Speaking of striders...anyone know which video has the guy being impailed by a strider. Or did I imagine that? I need to look at that for reference for my art contest entry ;).
I really like the idea for it...but I think the ground could use a little work. Also, maybe try editing a few of the striders so they don't look all exactly the same. Other than that, it looks awesome. Great job.
For me, using the mouse is nice because when pixeling usually I need to place pixels in exactly the right spot. With a tablet it seems that would be harder to do, so I just use a mouse. The following was done with a mouse, keyframe by keyframe, along with my avatar (which needs a serious update).
Haha, thanks abom. Yeah i've been pretty busy with work lately. My job is a lab tech at this rapid prototyping company, and they leaving me with little free time.
i'll upload those when I get home from work.
Wait till you see mine. I haven't worked this hard on an entry since my combine forest one. Using paint is driving me crazy though. :rolling: I'm going high rez on this.
how long, estimated, did this take?
EDIT: just showed this to my mom. She wouldn't believe me it was painted on a computer. She kept saying, it's one of them digital pictures. lol.
Ohhh come on. Paint doesn't have rotate by a certain angle..only by 90's. I could have sworn they had by angle. I could paste this bad boy into another program to rotate, but it's mspaint only..... man, haha
