How did a guy survive blowning himself up in a car, ripping his own arm off, getting shot 15 times by a pistol and getting stabbed by a knife. Only to die with the world exploding?

so uh they make this all great looking game, then release a horrible demo and decide to completely re-do the game. a year later it's supposed to be all really great and much improved, and it turns out to be the same crap :/
The soldier in extraction point is the same guy in the original FEAR.
Also I dunno why they make you another random guy with the reflex power who can someone survive all the paranormal stuff that the others can't.
At least it's explained in Project Origin, when you recieve the surgery...
Arcadey? Probably just the fact that you move really fast when you move, of course in a zombie outbreak i doubt even if you're carrying a shotgun you would be moving like there's a 50 pound weight on your back.
Looks pretty good, but honestly i'd like to see some outside city levels, say a big outpost that a bunch of survivors built, and hordes of zombies start attacking it and you have to defend it, and if they start busting down the walls / getting in you have to fall back to the center and call for...
Alot of textures are like that, take it for example in HL1 where a texture meets up on the corner of a wall usually draws out a face, but is usually just a coincidence.
I'm still in the beta, it's pretty fun, but i can see it get old pretty fast, as there's not much to do besides quests and killing npcs and instances.
Still has some bugs and problems in it, but that's common for a beta.
Also, i wish the aiming was 100% free aim, but all of the weapons except...
