Nice you like HL and all that... Now if you read up a bit about Doom 3, you would've known that AI wasn't much of a focus. Doom 3 is a straightforward shooter just like Serious Sam which was based on Doom again. Anyway the AI of Doom 3 isn't crap, but that's how it was supposed to be...

Watching it right now. Got this feeling when I've watched it, that I'll forget about the movie instantly. It's nothing special, looks low budget and it's set in present day. Kinda dissapointing. Would've liked it better if it was set in the future. It's missing that thing that made Alien...

The things you summed up were all implemented in UT2003, but it didn't make a better game than UT imo. I'm pretty sure though HL2 won't be a let down as UT2003 was for me. Just pointing out better graphics and physics always mean it'll be a better game..
