I still maintain that the "bomb" should've gone off and killed millions of people in S1, throwing the show into a darker setting after establishing the lead cast where it would be much more unpredictable and not so, "Zomg, the world is going to end....again!"
Played for a few hours this morning and got to 8/7 (rank/renown rank). We were always getting stomped in scenarios because 80% of destruction players are Chosen and I hear they're bugged right now. The Order players on my team always liked to rush to the wrong point and were never coordinated...
I managed to land a key. I called around other local Gamestops and got a hold of a manager of one that had bought himself a regular edition pre-order ages ago and hadn't used the code. He had recently pre-ordered the Collector's edition and used that code for the head-start.
He left work...
Civ. is pretty much the exact same as Tribal. Space is a lot more interesting at first, but quickly deteriorates when you have to micromanage a galaxy of whiners and you realize there isn't a lot of fun in saving 3 planets at once every 7 minutes while trying to actually make progress.
Not in my book.
I got about 8 hours of average gameplay out of Spore.
So far I've had at least 15-20 hours of solid gameplay from Mercs 2 with some great gaming memories.
Yes they are completely different games, but what Mercs 2 lacks in polish, it makes up for in pure fun and lasting...
I'd just like to see less games going the, "You can do any of our generic missions/quests when you want where you want in our open world!" route.
Where are the good plots and fantastic scripted events that wow me dammit?
I'm still looking forward to Far Cry 2 because, among other things, at...
Sometimes the game just gives you a lot of enemies. I was allying with everybody I could in space, and I still ended up with 3 nearby hostile races that would constantly attack me.
The game was pretty much exactly what I thought it would be:
Fun to go through once and play with the...
Well he was talking about using a gun too much, not the ammo. I have a feeling that because they're implementing the possibility, it's probably going to happen at least 10 times during this game which is way too high - unless of course you can avoid it by just picking up enemy weapons...
A gun would have to be horribly old and decrepit to have anything like that actually happen. No way it'd happen to an AK either.
I thing the weapon exploding thing is stupid, but I like the jamming.
Long impressions incoming:
It took me only 4 to get to the space stage and I was really disappointed throughout that whole time.
-Cell stage is exactly what it looks like. You just go around and eat whatever your creature can. It's pretty short and so far, by far the hardest part (if you...
lol
I JUST found the stop button :p I rarely look over to that side of my browser window.
I think I'll play with it a bit more and wait for later releases with more customization.
There are certainly some badass moments to be had in this game.
Such as:
-Popping smoke for a carpet bombing run on an oil platform, leaping off the side of the rig and grappling to a friend's helicopter just before the bomb decimates the entire thing.
-Bunker busting the headquarters of your...
F' that noise.
Read IGN's review. They acknowledge the game has flaws but rate it higher because despite its flaws, it's still damn fun - especially with a friend.
And here I was thinking that you felt the exact opposite from reading your previous comments :p
+++ To the atmosphere
--- For the hud telling me I'm in danger
+ To the stealth effects
+++++ To the planting of a live grenade via pickpoketing :D
