But it was missing the adrenaline Gears of War has! Even though they're based around essentially the same game mechanic, Gears of War was more about the action, and Vegas was more for the tactics!
I didn't get the same, and I have it set to desktop mode. Maybe I can try it with the other modes.
And I have it connected to DVI-D.
EDIT: Except for banding on grayscale in gaming mode, it was fine with all of the other modes.
Something like a good computer for the money at different price points, good free/cheap anti-virus, firewalls, anti-spyware utils, and ways to reduce startup time like getting rid of services and stuff...
It can run in 59hz too, oddly, maybe that might fix it?
The different modes are for different things, game mode does sacrifice color accuracy for response time optimization; desktop mode has no banding and is the most accurate for color. Multimedia mode is probably inbetween.
I have this monitor, and I really like it. But I know its advantage over 22" is the 8-bit over 6-bit panel, which has way more colors than a 6-bit, and I think it might be brighter.
But yeah, I totally recommend it! It sounds perfect for the stuff you want to use it for.
I would say go mATX! I leik small computers...plus they have more expandability than a shuttle.
And to emphasize the wait for July 22nd-price-cut-2.66ghz Q6600-quad-core thing. And there will be more 3x series intel mobos for better overclocking and better memory controller and stuff, and...
Just do a save as 97-2003 and it'll be fine. Once you do that, you can tell it's in 2003 mode by the [Compatibility Mode] thing next to the filename by the top.
When you complete a regular puzzle, it turns into an animated picture thing. It kind of goes without saying that the larger the puzzle you complete, the better the picture looks.
Has anyone heard of this game? It's only been released in Europe and Japan so far, but this game is awesome. It's really addictive...and everyone who has a DS and likes puzzle games should get this one.
I don't think current DirectX 10 capable cards are up to the challenge of this stuff. I saw an internal Nvidia benchmark that had the highest FPS for the 8800GTX at 33 at 1280x1024 (4xaa, max settings) in Call of Juarez. That's a terrible performance for a $600+ graphics card...
