I Have Been Waiting For A Bloody (commercial) Game To Do It For Several Years
It Would Be 1000x More Impressive If You Could Blow Open The Wall.

On the contrary, it would seem fairly easy to do.
However, what would be much harder to do would be to be able to blow up a wall to make a vacuum. Kekekekeke.
I am fairly certain I played through HL1 on hard mode the first time through... maybe. Been awhile, and I always like playing through games on hard mode.
Oh, and the shotgun is your friend. Especially with vortigaunts.
