i use zone alarm with antivirus and it works like a beast. it found a couple of viruses in like the first few months that ive had my comp. and not only did it find them but automatically fixed them and then told me about it.

idk if this would help but you could try reseting the cmos.

run adaware, run norton antivirus or whatever antivirus utility you have, if that doesnt work try pcpitstop.com 's antivirus thing.

i have a 9700pro and it has some overheating problems which cause my screen to have turquoise blocks on it. my card rarely isnt over heating. does anyone know how i can solve this issue? i tried opening my case and putting a fan in it but that doesnt seem to work. what can i do? thanks.

get a cheaper ram upgrade and buy a new gfx card. 9800 are almost as cheap as 9600, and theyre much faster.

thanks for the help shamrock, but unfortunately it did not work for my system. i used driver cleaner 3 and then tried installing the catalyst 4.8s and the same problem occured. if anyone else has ideas please speak out. thanks.

no, actually they are not made for 256mb cards. it says they work with anything up from a radeon 9500 and i know they dont make any cards with more than 128mb up until the 9800...
