When I try and backup CS:Source, it gives me four disk files. And When I try to install it on my other machine, its asking me for a disk 5.dat which I dont have. I also cant download the game because of a steam error.

I tried playing regular Halflife2 and I did get about a 8 FPS boost in the same area. But I think it is still a bit low for my setup.
I just installed the newest drivers from Nvidia the 71.84. And I used driver cleaner to remove the old ones.
edit: tried fps_max 150 but no go, it was set...
I am having problems with Halflife 2, everywhere on each level I go I get very low FPS, even at the lowest setting with DX level of 7. I tried everything to fix this but everything failed.

what makes me mad is that I upgraded from a 9600xt to enjoy the high quality settings and this is what I get. :flame:
its like I didnt even upgrade at all....and just threw my 300 dollars in the trash.
yea, I only upgraded only for this game.
I get very low fps on dust2 and it happens in certain places in all the maps, but it happens more on dust2.
It happens when I apply 2xAA or more with high quaility textures. When I take out either AA or put textures to medium, the problem dissapears. Its worse when I apply 4xAA, I get 10 FPS...
I have a problem when changing the DX on source, default is 9.0 and when I change it to 8.1, it shows 6.0 on the video settings. The same thing happens when I try 7.0 and 8.0. I tried making a autoexe file and the same thing happens.

I have found a solution over at the steam forums, in order to see your favorites again,right click the little steam icon on the windows taskbar and select servers. All of your saved servers are there.(hopefully) :thumbs:
it seems that the update was buggy and it caused a lot of problems...
