30 second anti-Bush ads.

timmy nothing is good in this world... :) we just look at things that are better than other things and call that the standard of good.

Here is my "report card" for George Bush:

Homeland Security: A+
Well there weren't any real terrorist attacks since Sept. 11. I'm surprised actually.

War on Terror: B
The whole Iraq thing got a bit hairy and Osama is still out there somewhere. There is some progress though.

Economy: A-
Not quite there yet, but close.

Space: A-
The new Moon/Mars thing sounds promising, but I wanna see some real numbers in the budget first.

So there you go. Not perfect by all means, but probably the best candidate overall.

I really don't think simply pulling out letters to rate his job on topics as intricate and complex as the economy and the Iraq war really means anything.

Personally I give him an 2.3423535/10 on the Iraq War.

Let's see North Korea let's all but its military starve and suffer. They're making nukes and they've told us that. Kim Jong Il is truly a crazy and cruel dictator who has fanciful tendencies to believe his own stories about being the son of a god. Plus his country's so poor there's nothing stopping him from selling his Nukes to "rogue" countries. Iraq... well it was a lot easier and it most certainly costs less to take on a small unprepared and poorly trained army in the Mid-East than it would to take on a huge North Korean army massed up on the demilitarized zone with missiles aimed at U.S. bases all over South Korea, and warhead missiles that can reach Japan and ones that can reach the west coast of the U.S. probably almost finished with the research stage. He chose to do the easy one with the oil bonus, instead of the more dire threat.

Well actually I went to great lengths to break it down for you. Really the question is "YES or NO" - are you going to vote for Bush or someone else?

Or in case you are not going to be voting in this election (by choice or otherwise), it only gives my vote more weight.

Overall, I think he was as good a President as should be expected of any other trained monkey.

I would probably give him straight C's in those categories... and an A in "Funny Quotes".

I'll vote for whoever runs against him because I'd rather see what someone else does than see more of him. I might have voted for him if Will Ferrell were still on SNL... but, now I don't see any benefit in keeping him around.

I'll wait to start caring again until we get some good candidates... until then I'm going primarily by comedic value.

On-topic
the ads are very good. I am still watching, but I like In My Country best so far.

Off-topic
to all the American voters on this forum: please vote a more moderate and liberal president next, please. This one is isolating your country from, basically, the rest of the world and that isnt good.

well lil' timmy, its funny we are even having this debate, you know what? We are almost the only ones old enough to vote here (i think pretty much all the pro bush guys are either to young, or they don't live here, so we will make our decisiion this year, forget what everyone else says. Lets just go on with our lives. Sorry if anyone takes this thread personally, once again it is all opinion, except for a sparse few facts thrown in, but to each his own and god bless hehehe...

Oh my God. I've been screaming about how this is all opinion and how everyone has their own opinion blah blah blah since the first couple of pages, so don't even give me that crap, I'm tired of arguing it, so i'll do what you guys are doing. Take a harder stance.

shut ur trap. im old enough when the time to vote comes and i'm voting Bush for next 4 yr presidency.

waedoe, you cant talk about others being narrow minded. 'tut' from my point of view you seem to have the most narrow minded comments. 'tut again'

and further more the patriotism attitude is very noticeably apparent , and is not the kind of stance that helps the world

no clarky, is it a revolutionary idea to think that MAYBE someone can formulate their own thoughts? my family is entirely democrats, except me. my only friend who is conservative is waedoe, so no this is pretty much me buddy.

im just saying that often times, your typical leftist doesnt really know what their talking about, its mostly a popular stance. not saying that about anyone in here but its true. its a lot rarer to find a teenage conservative who actually knows what he's talking about.

... partially because rich teenagers are rare. Statistically speaking (this is a generalization, so it's not 100% true), poorer people tend to have liberal views while richer people tend to have conservative views... and finding any teenager that knows what he/she is talking about (politically speaking) is hard enough. People push for what benefits them the most. The bad part about that last statement is that the extremely powerful people tend to lean to the right because they want to keep their money/power.

I would be willing to say that more than 75% (probably closer to 90%) of voters don't know what the hell they are talking about. All they know is what the media/friends/family tells them (I know I've probably got some false information, too). It's all biased opinions being passed along. Everyone is at least somewhat biased... and the people that speak the loudest (the ones that make debates fun to watch) tend to be the most biased.

Waedoe, just for the benefit of a more intelectual debate than "liberals are evil" and "no, conservatives are"... be more specific. What evil things have the liberals done to our country? Polluted? Started wars? Angered/lost allies? Decreased the number of jobs? Increased crime? Wasted money? Give some examples of things they have done... and, while you're at it, give some examples of things conservatives have done for our country.

I wish we had a system where we voted on the individual issues rather than picking the lesser of two evils between two major views... and what I hate even more than that is the lying, and things like when people tack important stuff on some horrible legislature that forces the other party to vote against it and then calls them "unpatriotic" or things to that effect.

Politics should be cleaned up but where do you start when we live in a country where everyone has a "Screw the other guy... it's all about me!" attitude? It's too late. If we start now it could possibly be done in a few decades... but, realistically speaking, it's not going to happen... because it is too much work that doesn't pay off immediately.
