Anime Sucks

I got put in a group with these anime shitheads at college, and they are the most uncreative, smelly kids I've ever laid eyes on.

Its just like that at my college, well throw in overweight to morbidly obese (sp?). I think that once they get past say 18-19 only the major dorks stay so devoted the trash. They act like they are artists and yet all they do is draw pathetic excuses for the main characters and naked cartoon women. ugh.

I love ghost in teh shell 1 and 2, Akira is one of the best anime movies ever, Full metal Alchemest is pretty neet and has a good story line to it and i love the animation style of vampire hunter. One thing you should have added to that list is jihn roh. Its a pretty tight movie that looks so realistic and isnt all dbz story like! I agree all these people who are bashing anime have never really seen some of teh high quaility anime that is out there.

I have seen several of those "more mature" animes, and They all suck. When I say anime sucks I mean It. I didn't base my judgement solely on pokemon as you people seem to assume that everyone who has said they hate anime does
Anime in general is very cliche and the stories are all extremely similar. I have seen Lain, I have seen ghost in the shell and akira, trigun, gundam wing, vampire hunter d(?), naruto, cowboy bebop, and unfortunately Tenchi(ughh perverted animators) And I HATED them all. I had a friend who became obsessed with that and He tried to make me like them to.

I have seen most of those and they are ALL crap,

vampire hunter d? PLEASE, I am draculas son (or something to do with him) So I kill vampires I am a good guy

Akira- This boy is psychic lets have him channel an uber-powerful demon, but in the end it will take him over. (surprise surprise)

Princess mononake- The only part i liked in the whole movie was when the dumb woman shot off the forest spirits head (not sure if this is the movie i am thinking of)

Ghost in the shell 1 and 2- I think everyone and their grandma's dead dog knows the story to this

I hated ALL of these films.

Oh and "I hope that all of you that hate anime need to die." Makes no sense, besides people who think that someone should die for not liking their chosen form of entertainment should be shot in the groin.

I tried to watch Naruto..cuz a friend told me it was sooo goood!!..Well it sucked big time! I cant belive anyone over 12 can think that is cool. And those anyoying screaming japanese voices really bother me too..

I think that anime kicks arse and is extremly fun to watch, but, as some of you have said, and i agree the main problem is with lipsinch and dubbing which does ruin it a little but still when done well its great, in fact when it isn't its quite fun to watch and laugh at.

subtitles are your god! you must worship them! for they allow the retention of all that is holy and pure of the storyline. i think the main reason that some of you people think that anime storylines are idiotic is because you're getting the english dubbed version, where the english actors make up words to fit into the characters mouth and miss about half of the meaning. if you can't watch an anime sub (english subtitles) because the words disappear too fast, then practice how to read damnit!

Well Captain smartass, I Do in fact think that ALOT of movies suck, but they have a FAR greater scope than does anime.

Hmmmm, if I had to see why people don't like anime it would be how they view it. When I watch anime and read manga I am using my imagination constantly. May be some people are just look at it wrong, but I feel more emotion and happyness from anime than I do in real life films. This is mainly because of the use of colour and the way its presented. I watch all types of films from loads of different cultures but nothing comes close to how much I enjoy anime. I have cried in anime many times before and I am a big fan of anime comiedy.

Btw, hentia is called hentai because it means 'pervert' it always has rape and alien sex for this reason. So generally hentai is still porn but its more like german shizer porn. Its hard to explain... but most of the time it involves younger girls, rape and tenticle sex obviasly. I watch this my self and I quite enjoy it. And seriously, wtf is up with Japanese and sucking at making intro's? I have NEVER seen a good intro or intro song for any anime, always some weird semi philosophical or super happy song that doesn't make any ****ing sense.

Reminds me of that SP episode 'so lets fighting, lets fighting love, go go ninja, protect my balls' :E

Actually, the Japanese definition of hentai is more like "strange or abnormal person," rather than "pervert." The word for pervert is "chikan," but hentai has become the word associated with erotic manga, anime, and games.

As I said before, hentai anime sucks ass, generally because they're about the themes you're talking about: school girls, tentacles, demon rape beasts, etc. That isn't to say all hentai is like that--there are many that aren't, and would be considered "normal," but those aren't that prevalent because everyone seems to be interested in the strange stuff, like Bible Black.
