Yah, I have no choice, I liked DOOM 1, 2 and whatever came after that, I loved Quake and Heretic, I will probably buy this too, but not the day it comes out, I will wait until:

A) It's $35

B) Every gaming site gives it 9.5/10.

yep, besides all the pirating that will go on, many hl2 fanboys will pirate doom3 as if they are entitled because doom3 is the 'enemy camp', while the same thing will happen with the doom3 community with hl2. oh well, all companies lose out because of tards. its a shame.

If I have to believe the PC Gamer article, you'll need 512 MB of video memory to play the game in Ultra High Quality. Which means current high end hardware can only do High Quality.

High Quality (as a word) is subjective. In Doom 3 terminology, medium quality looks better than Far Cry at its max settings.

I've already pre-ordered doom 3, but I currently have a redeon 8500.

I agree. EGM's "world exclusive" first review on driv3r was something in high 8s, but the other reviews were horrible.
