Braces

My friend has braces and has violently bad breath, and very, very bad B.O.

Kat, I told Krynn to keep it in his pants but he didn't listen

Also, my brother has braces, they make him look a year younger somehow.

87.

Yeah, im one of those creepy old guys.

I wont say my actual age, because I have a feeling im being lured into a trap.

And Stigmata... Hey, I cant help it sometimes.

Well, Krynn, if your not gonna say, then: You Fail.

Krynn does not fail. Krynn never fails.

You just need to figure out what number to subtract from 87 to get my real age.

And Willie... is that why you're always coming on to me? You're going to have a hard time when you realize the truf about me.

So, another band came off of another bracket, but I, being the crafty bastard I am, managed to get it back on by using a spare piece of wire I had lying around to wrap the band over the wire and around the bracket, and then snake the wire out from under the band.

Having perfect teeth, im unable to follow what you just said... but congrats on some fine makeshift ingenuity.

I don't understand, you're only 16 and going to college?

:rolling:

I'm 18 and it's my first year :|

I'm 17 this year in October. I was one of the oldest girls in both primary and secondary school.

Wait... if you're one of the oldest in your class... that means other people in your grade are going to college at an even younger age than you?

yea it's just to indicate a confused state.

Note he has his hands on his head

You know how someone might put their hands on either side of their head after a shocking event that has left them bewildered.

Such as someone going to college at 17

I'm glad my parents are too old to remember to take me to get braces. If I can last until the end of the year, I think I can get away without getting them.

Don't people over there call our high school their "college"? And then our college/universities are "uni"?

I happen to also have this condition in the form of Perfect teeth (Well not perfect. My Orthodontist said that I don't need braces... Barely.)

Having fun sinko?

oh yeah and BTW that is completely TRUE. When you get them out you WILL lick your teeth for hours. its just sooo smooooth..

I got mine out 3 years ago and I just licked my teeth- omg SO SMOOTH still.

Damnt, they told me that my teeth would hurt a little longer than most people, since my teeth need to do allot of rotation, but...

A week later and still hurting is getting a TAD irritating.

I've never had braces, and from the experiences I've heard about I never plan to. Hang in there man...

I had mine tightened today. The process, as usual, was very irritating and unpleasant. There's no actual pain involved but the cool watery air they jam into your mouth during the thing pisses my pretty sensitive teeth to the limit. I've been in pain all day, but it usually wears off after a couple of nights.

On the bright side my teeth have shifted accordingly and are making good progress apparently. It's my first check up so I'm hoping in light of this I won't have them for 2 years.

Hehe coincidence Samon, I'm having mine tightened tomorrow, and it was meant to be done today but they 'rescheduled'.

I had bracers twice in my life. From the age 12-15 and from age 16-18. Dont regret it one bit, i got perfect teeth now :)

Serious bumpage here but I just wanted to say that I got my brace today. It doesn't exactly make my teeth hurt but it's rubbing like hell and the wire keeps getting caught on my mouth (very painful!) It looks ok though. I'll post pics when I get back from holiday next Wednesday.

I got my bracers today too. They're leather and protect my forearms from slashing damage inflicted by all sorts of bladed instruments.

I had mine taken off this year. Your teeath will hurt, just wait a bit, and they will continue to hurt every time they are tightened. Make sure you get some wax, to.

Yeah, they gave some but it took a while for me just to work out how have the bloody stuff stay on!!! Got it sorted now and it seems to be doing the trick; the wire's stopped catching but it's already raised up quite a lump, like a small mouth ulcer. Actually just pressing the wax on made my teeth ache a bit but it doesn't ache from the wire. The wire feels a bit tight but comfortable. That probably sounds pretty mad!!

When you get your retainers, wear them. If not during the day, at least at night. I didn't wear my retainers since a month I received them and, while my teeth are 100% straight to everyone else, there are imperfections I can feel with my tongue that are obvious, at least to me. So wear them.

I somewhat wish I had of got braces when I was younger, but my teeth are quite acceptable now so whatever.

The only thing I can say is congratulations, because I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

No. This is from an ignorant source. Unless you are the most handsome man on the planet after taking them off, you will never get over it. They told me 2 years also, but I've had mine for 3. I believe they say 2 years so that you don't give up hope, but you also realize that you have so long to take care of them.

And, btw, I'm just trying to scare you. They aren't that bad after about the second month, you get used to 'em, but the one thing i will never get used to is biting my cheek when I'm chewing MOTHER ****ING GUM! GUM, AND I BITE MY CHEEK FROM THE BRACKETS! MOTHER **** THAT PISSES ME OFF! (Though it doesn't really hurt all too bad once you build up callouses like me... They do go away.)

Hope you enjoy your smile, and you should really do what they say. Brush 3 times a day. I put it from when I wake up, when I get home, and when I go to bed. Hope you enjoy your smile when they take them off. :D

When they put that tung guard in your mouth, let them know right away if it's too tight. (This only happens if you get new brackets) because if it pinches your tung it hurts like hell. Last time I went I had this little bitch in there that put the thing on way too tight, and it pinched the shit out of my saliva glands underneath the tung. It hurts so ****ing bad that my eyes watered like I was crying. I got her attention my squeezing her arm as hard as I could, but the only response I got was "You're hurting me, let go." Then I proceeded to point to my mouth and tell her what was wrong, as you can normally do with a giant plastic piece of shit in your mouth. here's what I said. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH!" But, again, I got the same twitty dumbass response as last time, but in an even more retarded way. "I can't understand what you're saying." WELL NO SHIT, YOU **** UP! I decided that it might be a good idea to stand up, but then when I saw the metal rod connected to the guard from the wall, I realized i was in enough pain already, so for 30 minutes I sat there while she tortured me. i should have screamed at the top of my lungs till she pulled the ****in thing out. Don't put up with shit like that, tell em' when it feels wrong... depending on what they're doing. :naughty:

But really, they don't always know what's best, so communicate ever concern that you have.

I'm getting mine off in less than a month, woot!

It will be totally worth it. If you need a bimaxillary osteotomy make sure you put on a lot of weight, 'cuz you'll lose a lot when you're not eating solids.

I have to get braces in the summer. I would be wearing braces now, but apparently my upper jaw is all kinds of ****ed up so I have to wear an expander which is slowly pushing my jaw apart. I have to have my dad adjust it every other day (mon, wed, fri) and it doesn't hurt its just a really annoying pressure for about 5 minutes or so.

After that nightmare is over, I enter a whole new one where the dentist told me theres an excellent chance that I will probably require jaw surgery which will involve my teeth being wired shut for a week.

awesome.
