Argh, major problem. The unzip is automatically trying to unzip to C. I can't find a way to change the destination. C drive is full.
It seems a lot like Generic RTS 427 to me. Sure, it's fun, but honestly it doesn't seem like there's a lot of personality to it. It steals just about all of the new features introduced from other high-profile games, and it just seems rather ho-hum to me. The graphics and presentation and whatnot are top-quality - aside from the campy acting and script, which I assume was intentional - but that is to be expected from Electronic Arts anyway. At least it ran nicely on my aging computer at medium settings while looking comparable to Age of Empires III. Supreme Commander was nearly unplayable, in comparison.
That's not to say it's not fun, because it is, but there doesn't seem to be that much of a reason to buy it when I could get the exact same thing in just about every other game out there. Then again, Command & Conquer also has the Grandfather Bonus, which means that it's allowed to be generic just because the first game kind of defined what was generic in the first place. That still doesn't mean that it can't innovate as well.
Oh, and there are some major path-finding issues with units. I had some spend forever trying to get around a building that had some enemies garrisoned in an adjacent one. They got ripped to pieces trying to circle around to the other side. Same thing happened in a situation where my tanks should have just run over the infantry in front of them, but instead decided to sit there shelling them until they died. Of course, I lost a couple of tanks just trying to get them out. In this day and age you shouldn't have to micromanage every little move your troops make.
That's the thing that pisses me off. The installer is on E:\, so either ask me where to unpack the temp files or unpack them to the directory of the installer, not to ****ing C:\. Or perhaps check how much space is left on my SYSTEM drive (not unpack-all-your-shit-there-drive) and look for another drive with sufficient space, not suddenly come up with "yadayad, possible cause: disk full". Fortunately I managed to free up enough space (or rather it freed up itself somehow, upon next reboot it was cut by 50%; my pagefile is constant) and install the demo.
No time? Had other things to do?
Solution use system drive for system purposes. My C: is a 20gb partition on a 200gb drive. Keep only programs and the OS there.\
As for your problem open it with WINRAR (who uses zip anymore?), extract, run setup.
Ion Cannon...omg explosion pron.
CoH's explosions still make me cream more though.

Is there a way to get normal Tiberian Sun music into this? The music is OK but its to low and to backgroundish. I want it to be louder and to really get me into the mood.

I played generals once (hated it) but i liked that the camera kind of shaked as soon as there was battle going on. I thought they would include that feature in this becuase its the same engine (upgraded).

Or is that your actual line cap?
.bog.
EA own the original C&C music, not Frank.
You don't know who is creating this game do you? Then why wont they use it in the game? Its kind of retarded not to....
Because EA evidently wanted to completly bastardise the game from Tiberian Sun.
The game lacks something for me, I can't pin point it but I miss Tiberium Sun badly, it's just not the same at all, just feels like a well done mod for Generals.
