Dear Helplife2.net, I f*cked up

Why in the hell would that be a law? Contraceptives are a good thing. Making them illegal for kids to buy wouldn't stop them from having sex. Did you even think for a minute about what you are asking?

Um... no. I thought it was a given.

I guess it's only like that over here.

Holy hell dude, and I thought India was sexually repressive, I mean even there they allow 16 year olds onwards to buy condoms.

Yeah... we actively discourage any "unstudentlike" behavior. Having relations with another person is grounds for termination of status (expulsion).

I wholeheartedly support this because:

1. It helps people focus on their studies instead of boobies.

2. I didn't have a girlfriend in high school, and I wish for everyone to share that experience.

Um... no. I thought it was a given.

Not allowing kids to purchase birth control would only cause an increase in teen pregnancy. America is a society laden with temptation on all accounts. You can't walk down sunset BLVD. in L.A. without getting wood because of all the half naked women in their underwear on the posters. You can't watch a single T.V. station without seeing a boner pill commercial, or a woman's underwear ad. If we can't escape it in every day life, how can we expect kids not to do it when they see it all over the place? Not to mention on he internet...

Condoms aren't like beer, where the chain is kids buy beer, kids get drunk, bad things happen. Condoms aren't the cause of sex. Buying a condom (sadly) doesn't give you sex. Condoms are for people who are already going to have sex, no stopping them really, so it makes zero logical sense to put an age restriction on it.

Numbers, banning the sale of condoms to young people is not discouraging sexual behavior, it's ignoring it. Ignoring its inevitable existence, ignoring human nature.

Bold text.

I'm not so sure anymore, but I'd have thought that contraceptives would be a prerequisite for teens having sex. You know, because they might not want to have babies, and without contraceptives, the only choice is to not have sex.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure that statistics will prove me otherwise. I think the most important thing (to not have kids engage in sexual behavior) is that a culture repress the sexuality of young people, and hold "purity" in high regard. I mean, only 0.2% (which is 3 people) of my entire school has ever had sex, and one of them came from America. I guess that's why I hate pop culture nowadays - TV whores whoring themselves in skimpy little outfits with implied sexuality - all so that broadcasters can make more money.

I mean, human nature, and all that is repressible: we have governments now, and people don't rape other people in broad daylight.

:) :) :)

(I think you're adorable)

Vegeta is 100 percent right, though. People have sex, that's how things work for our species. Education and availability of effective contraception is only a good thing, repression and denial is bad.

What I'm trying to say is that ~*sex is a beautiful thing*~

But sex with a sixteen year old is disgusting.

I would love to have a kid (i'm only 17)

I thought you were banned.

Also I'm hoping you mean you would love to have a kid at some point in your life, and not now at the age of 17.

I stopped reading right here; I was laughing too hard to read.

The threat of AIDS won't even stop people from having sex. Even unprotected. You think a slim chance of pregnancy is going to stop people? Well, welcome to the thread.

ITT: Numbers' sexual awkwardness starts to shine.

Actually, how the hell does Numbers know how many people in his school have ever had sex? : |

Now i'm unbanned :)

I wouldn't care what age tbh, now or in the future.

Hi, I'm Tracey Grimshaw.

Hi, I'm Tracey Grimshaw.

I was actually banned for replying to you going off topic in a thread, which is totally ridiculous.

Now xdrive placing the blame on us, the surely unbiased and only true source of news on Channel 9, isn't going to get you out of this interview.

Crossing live to Sydney is our Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who personally called us wanting to villify you, despite your punishment.

...

Mr Rudd it's a pleasure having you on our show tonight, tell me, what are your thoughts on xdrive?

Hi Tracey, it seems that in the face of bilderburg planned events, such as our latest Global Financial Crisis, xdrive is a tool.

So you have nothing to say that could actually be relevant to his cause and/or effect?

Even if he was Latvian, Tracey. He is still beyond a joke.

Actually, you were banned because you racked up enough points to trigger an automatic ban. Were the other infractions you'd already accrued also ridiculous?

At any rate, you'll find that the new infraction system I put in place does things a bit differently. I have no doubt that you'll be experiencing it first-hand quite soon.

/me looks at the obvious thread derailment from Danimal and then looks at Pi Mu Rho

See, the difference is, Banimal's hilarious.

I have my methods.

(The other two got expelled for that, you see. And the American was the only one bragging about it. He was a good guy though. Also, the government did a statistical analysis of some kind and released the results)

You keep official records of sexual activity, and expel the offenders? How the hell would the authorities even know who had sex?

EDIT:
OP: I don't care how much you hate this girl, it's your kid too, and you gotta stick around.

But having sex isn't unstudent-like. As far as I can see, it's very, very student-like. Loads of students do it.

At least he's posting in a rather appropriately named thread.~

Edit: Ack replies. I was talking about... yeah nevermind.

I have no idea. Maybe they have them fill out questionnaires (while under the influence of mind-altering drugs). Maybe they suck their souls out through a machine and analyze the results.

Besides, the statistics are confidential, they don't know who had sex, but only the numbers. The two were caught in the act. So there could be more, but statistics say that there isn't.

But having sex isn't unstudent-like. As far as I can see, it's very, very student-like. Loads of students do it.

See, the problem with this mindset is that it contributes to the rising rates of teen pregnancy, and rates of drop outs. The US has this problem. We don't. Best way to keep students in school is to not let them become mommies and daddies.

Ok, let's get back on topic, which is how the OP is screwed.

Was the test something along the lines of "Have you had sex?" "No" "Okay. Have you had sex?" "Yes" "EXPELLED"?

/edit didn't see your last post. MY POINT STILL STANDS

I've had plenty of kids drop out of my school that weren't parents, and are still virgins. The problem with scholastics in this country is that the parents don't give a shit, and are more concerned with being their kid's friend than their parent. Which, in truth is the same reason there is such a high rate of teen pregnancy, but that doesn't mean the two are connected.
