My father has been working as chief medical nurse at his hospital for over 20 years now, and even he admits that marijuana is no more harmful than cigarettes.

There is nothing wrong with taking a stand against weed because you believe it promotes a potiental lifestyle that is unfavorable, just like cigarettes and alcohol do, but you won't get anywhere by trying to suggest that its more harmful than cigarettes or alcohol.

I am against cigarette and weed smoking on a personal basis, but I don't judge someone for smoking weed just as I don't judge someone for smoking cigs. Just for the same reason I wouldn't want someone judging me for ordering a margareta at a restaurant.

Anyone that is refered to as a pot head just because they TRIED weed need not worry. I tried it. Instantly was seen as a pot head. The thing is that you need to have a really great idea. Like the guy that invented the pet rock. He made a million dollars you know. I had a great idea like that once... A jump-to-conclusions mat. You see it's a mat with different "conclusions" on it that you can "jump" to.

And at my highschool I'm pretty sure 80% of the students atleast tried pot. The ones that didn't were probably the supernerds and the mammaboys. It was a downtown pretty well off highschool too, so most of these kids are going to be working class professionals not skids. I think the kind of scuzzbag potheads that you see bumming around would have had ****ed up lives regardless of what substances they used.

By the way, it's not illegal here, and we do just fine. I know of only one person who can be described as a dumb stoner where weed had a negative impact on his life. But that harmful agent could just as well have been alcohol. Yet I know more people who had actual alcohol poisoning. I know of many who get drunk every weekend (or more often).

And thats where the problem lies. There is nothing wrong with Marijuana. Its a plant that grows in the ground for god sake. Its the majority of people that use it. Come on, anything is 'seen as cool/hard' (and yes im acknowledging that not all do it for that) if you do something when youre under the age limit of whatever it is youre doing.

I know plenty of people that flunked out of their schools due to pot. And theyre in crappy jobs or are unemployed living in their cars or parents house. They kiss their lives goodbye just so they could be seen as cool, feel good (apparently) and help them sleep better at night. Yeah, good pros and cons weight there. That 8gram bag REALLY is better than the rest of your life.

Look at me now. I dont drink, i dont smoke or do drugs. Ive tried smoking and weed once each, and thats it. Im now 6 weeks into Uni and having the time of my life. Sure slag me off and whatever for being such a 'good boy and a nerd for going to Uni', but screw you as who knows, you may end up working for me.

No i dont want a medal, its an example of someone that DOESNT do drugs. If you take it in sensible amounts then fair enough. I have no problem. live your life how you want.
