Got high today for the 1st time..

Everything in the world is either natural or a mix of many natural things.

But yes cocain and heroin are more shining examples.

Teenagers and weed = a cocky twat that i frequently want to choke after ive slammed their head into the pavement a few times. Teenagers dont know how to control their intake. They O'd and wont admit it. No matter what you say, if youre between 13 and 17 you dont know what youre on about. You do pot to look cool. And dont give me that 'its relaxing' bull***t, you and i both know you do it to fit in with mates, as its seen as 'cool and well hard' to smoke something illegal.
Yeah, folded in a ditch and lying in your own puke is SO cool man, ****in 'ave it my son...twats.

You're also an idiot.

Ishouldve said lethal dose instead of overdose. My bad on that one. There was no "loophole" logic involved in my statement.

You're also an idiot.

Id like you to elaborate.

My opinion on people here that retaliate about the comments i made are blatantly between 13 and 17. Therefore, you instantly think **** off you twat you dont know me.

Yes its a generalisation...thats the damn point!!! Im not focusing on individuals. Jeez.

your generalizations are stupid stereotypes anyway, do you realize that 13-17 yr old "cocky twats" make up a tiny portion of the smoking population? or are you being an ass on purpose?

I don't know about "tiny portion"
Not according to what I see.

Pot wouldn't have such an image problem if the largest portion of its users were well-off and responsible.

Fortunately, good arguments don't rest on anecdotal evidence.

I don't see how this is anecdotal. We can all agree that pot users IN GENERAL, to the COMMON PUBLIC have an image problem and it's not fair to those who are responsible with it.

I'm just stating a fact here, and this probably indicates that what Bull Goose said about small portion is actually a majority.

I don't know about you guys, but at my school, it's a different thing entirely. People don't care if you blaze or not. Nobody does it to be "cool"- it's just something to do if you want to get silly, or see things in a new, more inebriated way. I mean, my dear friend Eli is the ****ing valedictorian. His lowest grade is an A+. Harvard and MIT both want him in them (:naughty:). He smokes as much as I do. I mean, sure, there are plenty of losers that puff. But quite frankly, there are plenty of losers that don't.

There's a slight difference between illegal and legal substances.

Weed is allot healthier for you than booze.

With weed you preserve your ability to restrain yourself from stupid actions, it's just the stupid actions feel alittle more natural.

With booze, the stupid feels like the correct, and the polite feels like the retarded.

And that's why anecdotal evidence doesn't work. Because someone always has an opposing anecdote.

Hard statistics are needed.

You also said that the largest portion of its users aren't well-off or responsible. Evidence supporting this? Nothing. Nothing except "Well, I see a lot of dickheads".

The only image problem marijuana has is the one white-collared, anti-drug douche bags cram down the public's throat. Pick a random sample of people and I'm willing to bet that over half of them not only wouldn't know jack shit about the drug, but would also parrot lies they've been told since the War on Drugs was conceived.

So if you're going to post another "fact", I'd like you to back it up.

Oh, I see what you mean now.

That's what image problem means, Absinthe. You just told me that over half the people would say that marijuana = bad. That's called an image problem. Any large portion of people who see it as bad means it has an image problem. This could entail that most of the people this majority sees are irresponsible with it, and therefor most people are irresponsible.

I'm just stating possible deductions based off of a single fact.

It's true.

I can name like, 10 people whom I could go up to and ask "how does weed hurt you?", and they'd spew forth billions of cliche answers.

Then you ask "what does being high do to you?" or "how do people feel when they're high?", and they haven't the slightest idea what being high is all about.

Your argument was essentially that there's an image problem because of the user-base. That was my point of contention.

Bah, forgive me, but I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

He's trying to say that, the only reason people think so low of tokers, is because of what they've been told by unreliable sources.

(IE government, rehab facilities, the likes)

Thanks to those ****ers, stoners are put in bad light, and viewed as lazy irresponsible and burnt out.

Yes, I'm aware it's not true, but it doesn't matter, image problems are often not true, that's why they are known as "problems" that need to be solved.

In your own words, you said that "pot wouldn't have such an image problem if the largest portion of its users were well-off and responsible".

There is no other way of interpreting that comment. You are laying the problem squarely on the shoulders of irresponsible users. A portion of smokers that, in your own words, is larger than any other.

If you intended something else, then please clarify.

I'm glad that weed is still illegal in the states. Americans cannot handle the responsibility the drug requires. Just like anything, excess is the problem and that's what Americans do best. Throw in the fact that weed is mentally addictive and most of my fellow Americans have no self-restraint and you've got a bad situation waiting to happen.

My 2 cents:

There's nothing wrong with weed itself, but in general there is something wrong with the people attracted to it. It's tailor made for lazy, unambitious people ... and it only makes those traits worse. These are your typical pot heads and stoners. The thing is, they probably would've been almost as bad with or without it.

Like anything, it can and occasionally is used responsibly ... but not by the majority.

To bad, Akira...you were once a fine kid...now your going to do nothing all day smoking pot and going nowhere with your life.

Oh well, one less person to compete with me for jobs! Yippy! I'm such an optimist.

It's no worse than alcohol, and that's not only mentally, but PHYSICALLY addicting.

I can tell this is gonna turn into a drug argument thread soon D:

(btw, what in gods name ISN'T mentally addicting? It's like chips, in that you can't just eat one potato chip, they're so good tasting that you want more)

I sure as hell hope you're joking...

you people are so amazingly dumb. the first time you smoke weed, you dont get high, and if you were high for the first time, i swear to god you wouldnt be here typing this shit, infact, your experience would be completely different.

i am sorry, but as a person who smokes regularly, i know that when you are high you have NO IDEA how you are behaving, about the only thing you have control over is your movement and your ability to think.

Bullshit. First time I smoked I got high, and I was sitting at my computer when it hit me. Rly, did you sign up just to post this?

I got high just yesterday, and I can tell you it was nothing like how you're describing being high. I was in complete control of everything, it's just that i'd randomly zone out into a semi-concious state (as allways when I get high), and come back either when I felt like it, or when the situation required it (IE having to dodge a car). That, and there was the usual, indescribable immense feeling of greatness, oneness, entertainment, and warmth in everything.

Infact, that's exactly what happened. Me and my friend were walking, crossing the street, when I came back to complete conciousness to dodge some asshole on a cellphone. Then we kept walking and I zoned out again.

You have to realize that no two people have the same "high", it's a different feeling for everybody.

Btw, the bolds contradict themselves.

I can do the same exact shit I do sober while I'm high. Complete control.

The only difference is that I'm actually floating a couple of feet off the ground.

A moron in general = a ****ing jackass while high.

Well I haven't read the whole thread but trying marijuana just once doesn't make you an idiot or mean that you'll be addicted and die as a result. I doubt that anyone has disproved this. Most of this thread looks like "Your stupid because you smoked weed once." which in reality makes the person who said that look like an idiot.

I'd also like to add that there is a lot of biased and exaggerative anti-cannabis propaganda out there weed is in fact healthy in some ways and dangerous in others and pot smokers are often stereotyped.

Indeed. When I get high with my friends, we're all the same people, just a little more stupid and babbly. If somebody seems like an asshole while they're stoned, it's because they're an asshole in real life, and have just gotten very good at hiding it.

Well, since this thread had gone over to a drug-war, I think it'd be best if I apologize for making this thread, and move on with my life :D I thank evryone who has contribute to this night. This thread is now in the hands of who ppl who want to conitnue it :D

man the internet is so full of boys talking about getting high off dope..

it's the 21st century for christs sake! time to switch to crack.

I like my drugs like my booze.

Take as much as possible with a low chance of dieing.

Besides, it's the kids that smoke for no good reason at all that you have to watch out for.

Because the 13-17 year old people in general of halflife2.net are the same as all/most of the other 13-17 year olds in existance?
and seen as I'm 15 myself you'll probably reply with something similar to "I am the president of Asia, your argument is invalid."

Oh JNightShade, editing your posts so that Bull Goose Loony looks stupid?

I'm sure TDE would have harsh things to say about you D:
