GTA IV Trailer coming March 29!!!

I hope they have a kick ass car damage system!
 
Your clock must be wrong. I just changed my clock and the countdown changed. Didn't try going down to zero, doubt it'd work.
 
If there's one "extra" thing that I'd like added, it would the "outside-of-the-car" radio thing that they had in Saint's Row. You would be standing next to the car and hear the radio inside.
 
I refreshed the page at the end of the countdown now it's giving me a 404 error...strange

Edit: My clock is right, however when I changed it an hour back the page started working again.
 
Its probably designed to redirect us when it reaches zero. But I bet the page isn't up yet so it will give you a 404.

Yup. This wait is killing me!!

Oh, and I hope for realistic car damage and maybe even building damage, but that may be a tall order for this one....
 
Well, Rockstar has impledmented some engine into the game that gives realistic human like reactions to different effect. Like walking on a wobbly rope bridge or getting shot. It procedurally generates how the body might react to that force.

It will also apply to the car models, so each crash, will in theory, be different. :) (Or so I've heard. Sorry if it's not true! D: )

Forgot what the engine was called though :(

I think its the Euphoria engine--it has something to do with the one Lucasarts is implementing in their next-gen Star Wars and Indiana Jones games. Sounds like tremendously awesome stuff.
 
On March 29th, 2007, Rockstar purchased the 2:00-2:30am time slot on cable network FX, to show off an almost exact replica of the GTA IV countdown site accompanied by a loud slamming noise after each passing second. The 30 minute time slot went commercial free.

An e-mail about GTA IV sent by Rockstar to subscribers on March 23, includes the tagline "Things will be different".

GTA IV will mark the 10th anniversary of the GTA franchise.

I think the engine is called endorphin,but I dont think it has been confermed to be in this gta,all I heard was that rockstar bought it for future games,hopefully gta

Yeah, but the article I read (wherever it was) said that they had been working with it for a couple of months already and that was a few weeks ago iirc, so it will hopefully be in there.

But how will things be "different" I wonder? A female lead maybe?

There some tech demos on YouTube for it and some of the stuff looks amazing. Would be real nice if it was in GTA.

Heh, wiki Endorphin. The engine is called RAGE. The same one they used for R*'s Table Tennis.

GTA4 official site is getting some stress already. Refreshing takes ages and I got a connection refused just. So don't refresh! :)

Doubt they would. They wouldnt generate this much hype for nothing :p I usually dont get that hyped for games. I am for this!
