i was going to say i dont know if its fake or not but it does fit with what that dude that talked to GN today said about TF2 already being worked on.

It looks like too much code to be fake, but at the same time I find it hard to believe the thread hasn't been deleted off the Steam forums yet...

OMG guyz its just some pictures of some files with some code that anyone could of made and which signify nothing exept that HL2 is in existance and its not a joke...

I say HL2 is lucky it didnt get alpha or beta leaked to the public. They released only what info and pictures that they wanted.

i dont think its real, BUT...

since the tf2 code and the hl2 code are in the same place, that would only lead me to believe that tf2 is INCLUDED with hl2

i know this has been denied before, and i don't even think this stuff is real, but, just speculation...

Sorry but that is not how MIRC works. That means whoever's MIRC that was, was chatting with t0y.

this might be real, otherwisem someone has WAY too much time on their hand setting up fake code and fake code files
 
This looks real as it has different dates on the files ranging in a month apart and the large amount of files it contains. This eighter means its actual source or that this guy is the biggest nerd in the world and has a shit load of time on his hands. Also, what's odd is that he only shows the includes on the script, he doesn't show any actual code and stops it at the IF statement.
 
IF (keyword if) it's true, only cool thing I see about those files is that they're in C++, which I'll be learning starting later this year! :D

if u read all the pages he says he does not show any code as he could get sued so he just showed bit they dont care about.
 
ya ya ya the TF2 code is there

some of the classes: commando, pyro, medic, infiltrator, defender, escort

there are vehicles including a battering ram

Actually, more than likely he could get sued for as little as that. Most employees in the industry have to sign NDA's (non disclosure agreements), and so revealing confidential information (which is pretty much anything created under their roof or for them) is illegal. So, even that little *could* be considered illegal; whether Valve would go to the expense of taking legal action or not is improbable.

did you guys realize there is a build_hl1.bat and build_cs.bat, along with build_hl2.bat and build_tf2.bat.

also build_vmpi... im wondering if that has anything to do with vampire the masquerade...

Look at some of the other files in his folder.
From what it looks like, he really doesn't have a life. So him making all this crap up is very probable. He's part of a team killing clan, has some SICK pics on there, and he said in a chat that he thinks 9/11 was the best thing that ever happened to america.......Someone destroy his computer please......

EDIT: Nice, I just made zombie!
 
I'm guessing he took source code from another game and renamed files, or maybe he did make all the crap himself
