You may think Iraq was pointless and a trivial matter, but its a very serious thing that required big spending.

 wow you really push the envelope on stupidity ...so tell me ..how many single mothers are on welfare? or do they do crack too?

One is to many... Close your legs, get a job, give up the kid, whatever it takes, just quit being a burden on society. If you can't make it in this economy you're not trying and don't deserve handouts.

spoken like a true humanitarian ...tell me, how would your wife make do if you upped and left her with 2 kids a mortgage, no job and no prospects? (I'm speculating here, for the sake of argument) how long do you think it would take her to lose everything and end up on assistance or worse?

I wouldn't leave my family in the lurch so there's no point in your fantastical twists on reality.

The people who have fawked up with partner selection, birth control, abstinance, choices, started familes before they are financially sound, don't work... I say yo hell with them. Let them get out of their own mess. I'd rather my tax dollars go towards killing radicals.

thanks for your insight. If it wern't for social security, i would have been living on the streets now. When my parents divorced it was social security that kept my mom from losing her apartment, and my brother for buying his medicine. Today i gladly give away part of my income for the people who need it (hell, here in belgium its almost ~50% of the income! You simply get back what you need)

Not everyone is born in a prosperous family you know. If a kid is born in a family who has fawked up with partner selection, birth control, abstinance, choices, started familes before they are financially sound etc, does that mean that kid doesnt deserve any assistance too?

Being against this stuff, is imo, pure selfishness

I'm glad we have some smart people like Pericolos here.

no need to pull punches: it's ignorant and naive to believe social assistance only helps "crackheads" and "criminals". Many families use social assistance ..in fact over the christmas holidays 30% of the people who visited the local foodbank were families. What most of you dont realise is that a very high percentage of people are a paycheck away from being homeless

btw kudos to you and your family for your determination to better yourselves and rise above your problems

As helpful as welfare and social security are there still needs to be a way to deter dependance on they system and foster work ethic, which isn't being done with the current system.

Yup kill some radicals, while the population are living on the streets

I agree with Bodacious dependence on the system is bad mmmkay but some people really have to rely on it.

"no point in your fantastical twists on reality."

Yeh I forogot everybody who is on social is a crackhead and a whore!
